New SLU commit today.  Verus Kibanga from Tanzania will be suiting up for Scarlet and Brown next year. Central midfielder I believe.

SLU is bringing in a pretty big class as another player committed.  That brings the total incoming class so far to 8, and there are a few more players still being targeted.

I think they graduated 6-7 players and I wonder if other players are not coming back or just not playing any more. It's a big commitment to do any extra curricular activity in college.  As I told a parent who wanted me to talk to her son about playing college sports it the first thing that I will tell him is do you want to do it because you will miss out somethings.

Wow Pebble Beach Ca and Potomac MD should be an interesting adjustment (to Canton BFE)for these young men.

SLU spring game against Potsdam ends with a 4-0 SLU win.

SLU's Henry Brown has transferred to Tufts for next season. Perhaps the coach should reconsider his unilateral disarmament philosophy on the transfer portal now that he lost his leading goal scorer. That makes two consecutive years of Liberty League first teamers transferring to the NESCAC. Hard to not be cynical about it all.

Conversely Ogango is back on the team and played in the spring game. Doesn't appear he ended up transferring, at least for now.

Wow.  Big pickup for Tufts and loss for the Saints.

Brown leaving is going to hurt. Might be difficult to replace that production. Hope someone can step up. Having Ogango back will help the team, imo.

Jeremy was missed last year, as was Marco from Hong Kong. They were the missing piece or pieces of the puzzle to make a run in the NCAAs. Word is that Jeremy is staying. Their midfield, their weakness last year, will be much stronger this coming year. They will of course be missing their most talented player and their top goal scorer, but I expect a strong year ahead. I expect a lot from Jeremy.

Y would a Saint who has top scored (basically) his first seasons leave the team for a D3 program?
Not blaming the young man,  but imo things cannot be going right for this to happen.

Tufts has a reputation of being a very good academic school throughout the nation and their soccer program is top notch. One of the best in the nation and plays in the best league in the nation, NESAC.  SLU use to play in the best league in the nation back in the early 90's.  Maybe he just wantedmore of a challenge both academically and athletically.  Can't blame him for that but he will be missed.
