(Lack of) scoring in the run of play is W&L's weakness. They have some promising attacking players, so crossing fingers they can figure it out.

Hmmmm, season already looking interesting. York (3-0 and had beaten Dickinson and Gburg) played F&M. Both teams with opportunities and nobody was able to finish. Foul in the box late in the game and F&M scored on the pk. Lucky, but less lucky than W&L's 1-0 over Hop in that it was a real foul. So F&M looking a bit different this year. Still too early. So F&M is 2-1 with 2 decent wins.

Boot game on Saturday against Elizabethtown. Last 5 years, F&M won 1-0 4 times and tied 0-0.

Hop dominated Leb Valley 2-0 which I am sure meant something to them.

Messiah 3-2 over Dickinson today. Still early in the season but the Centennial seems unusually weak this year

Brown transfer Dylan Ellis scored twice in last night's win at Homewood. First game he has played... Wondering if he was nursing an injury or something.

ETA - As noted, the game was in Pennsylvania, not Baltimore.

They might have been holding him back for the huge LVC game in Annville?? Hah! Yeah, probably an injury.

F&M used to play LVC every year and during those times at Annville the field had a lot to be desired. The LVC coach used to keep the grass really, really high. Like playing on a puddle field in that you had to put the ball in the air just to pass at any speed. Not quite old Muhlenberg or Haverford, but close. McDaniels still has the nicest grass field outside of Maryland's

Etown's is another field that can be pretty rough depending on the season. It's still nice to see a variety of natural grass surfaces in the region. In a perfect world, the sport should never be played on artificial turf

I've only seen Etown's as really bad. I remember the Etown players replacing divots after games just like golf courses. They walked the field in a row.
