Another game worth watching.  Southwestern and LeTourneau are tied 0-0 in the 52nd minute.  It's not like LeTourneau's bunkering and just frustrating Southwestern.  It's pretty even.  LeTourneau has 2 shots on goal to Southwestern's 1 and both teams have 4 shots total.

This is a game worth watching.  Howard Payne just scored a goal in the 7th minute against Mary Hardin-Baylor to take a very early lead.

UMHB broke open a tight 1-1 game in the late stages of the second half, scoring in the 72nd, 78th, and 85th minutes to run away with the game.  Credit to HP for hanging in there as long as they did, but eventually UMHB's superior talent won out.

It wasn't easy, but Southwestern once again came out victorious in a 1-0 game for the third time in the last four games.  They need to get their offensive threats - Cooper Pero coming up from the back on set plays and Grey Richards and maybe Danny Wasserman in the run of play - consistent service or Southwestern is going to have trouble against stronger offensive teams.

A spirited game with a decent crowd on an amazing-looking evening, but unfortunately unable to view 2 late goals from the Oles, as the (lagging, sagging) Luther game feed just plain stopped!

Big game in the north tonight, St Olaf travels to Luther in a regional match up.  Last the year the teams played twice with a regular season draw and St Olaf getting the best of Luther 1-0 in the round of 32.   

Should finally be a great night in Decorah.  Weather in this part of the country has not been very cooperative this fall with excessive rain and storms the last couple weeks.

Kind of a wild game going on in San Antonio right now

HALF:  UC Santa Cruz 2 - Trinity 1

Trinity looks like a mess defensively, with UCSC beating them down the middle.  First goal UCSC scored was because the Trinity left back came rushing out from the left side with a slide tackle to try to stop a break and UCSC got the ball out to its left wing who centered to two open players on the right since the Trinity LB had vacated his position and no one rushed back to help out, allowing the UCSC player to gather the cross and volley it home.  Second UCSC goal came on another breakaway where the pass split the Trinity centerbacks and the striker was able to beat both of them for a left footed shot.  Trinity had opened the scoring early on one of their few nice passing sequences of the half that gave them a shot inside the box. 

You know things aren't right when Trinity brought in 8-9 subs - basically a line change of every outfield player but a center back I think - in their first subs.

Feed was not working well at all, typically Luther has a good stream.  Went back and watched the last twenty minutes after the fact.  Luther scored first goal of game from a set piece.  Olaf scored on three corner kicks.  They dominated the set pieces.  Not a ton of scoring opps in open play across the night.

This was definitely a Friday Night Lights game down in Texas!

Trinity comes back from a 3-1 deficit to secure the tie, scoring the tying goal 1ith about 19 minutes left in the game.

UC Santa Cruz is a quality team when it's healthy, but they are very inconsistent, so I wouldn't call this a good result for Trinity at home.  Nevertheless, it's a nice confident boost to come back from that deficit as they head toward conference play.
