A few transfers down to D3 who seem based on early returns and pedigree to be major players to watch:

Carnegie Johnson, NYU - 22.5 ppg and 5.5 apg on 48/50/94 shooting (16 made FT's through two games!)
Kyle Winters, Hartford - in his first game, played 40 minutes, put up 28-4-4 including 6-10 from 3
Derek Sangster, Redlands - 23 ppg and 6.5 rpg on 53/78/64 shooting
Will Boser, UWEC - 17.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg plus 1.5 bpg on 65/62/50 shooting

Add to that Carroll's Michael McNabb, a transfer from D2 Northern Michigan who scored 22 on 9-18 FG shooting in the Pioneers' season-opening 90-78 loss at Washington (MO) on Friday. Playing the Bears in the Wash U Field House is a tough way to start your D3 career, but McNab clearly excelled -- and it appears that he's going to do well for himself at the CCIW level.

Toby Harris grad transfer from Brandeis to D1 Iona scored 20 points in 19 minutes of action against University of Missouri Kansas City last night. He shot 6 for 9 from three and seven of ten overall with his other basket being a dunk.

A D1 -> D3 transfer that I believe slipped through the cracks, perhaps because the roster lists him from Cushing Academy, rather than the more common last stop (sneaky, sneaky)

Jack Margoupis 6'8" F/C jr. UAlbany to Salve Regina

He leads SR (3-0) in scoring @ 16 ppg., against current Massey level SOS 333rd.

Kind of amusing reading his CMS bio where he played 2 years at Wash St and graduated early in 3 years. Then was listed as a grad student at CMS and now listed as a senior at Stanford. I mean, it's still only 5 years, but he graduated two years ago.

What was that recently with an interview of a Miami football player. Someone asked him if he had class today and he said something like, "No, I graduated 2 years ago."

Just depends on whether the school's policy is to list by academic year or athletic eligibility year.

A lot of the grad programs transfers get into these days are fully online, so they don't always have class to attend.

I think it was Chatham wbb last year who had a grad student in nursing who was working full time in a hospital while playing and attending school.  I'm quite happy d3 athletes have so many flexible options these days to pursue both paths.
