Although I hadn't planned to do a formal season preview of Washington & Lee (Region X and the UAA schools is a big enough task as it is), W&L published their own and its worth reading.

While they do a good job of profiling key returners, there are some key departures that are worth noting.  Most notably, leading scorer, 1st team all region and conference and 2nd team All American Weyimi Agbeyegbe and his 14 goals and 7 assists will be sorely missed.  Second team All conference and second leading scorer Lucas Pleasants (8 goals and 4 assists) will also be missed.  That's a lot of goals and assists walking out the door.  Plus, they are losing regular starters on defense Will Luik and PJ Ryan.  Those are two key pieces of the backline to replace.

And Another Mom's son, Asa Tuke two year starter with 2024 started 24 of 25 games with over 2000 min.

Will be a big test for the new coach losing 5 starters who played substantial minutes last season.

Another Mom

It was also a blow losing rising junior Dmitri Tulloch. He was a winger, and to my eye had a lot of upside potential (being an excellent player in the present too, but I felt he was going to improve even more). He transferred to a d1 school.

I would add re my son -- he was the only W&L player named to the Final Four All Tournament team.

Very true! Googled him and he transferred to SUNY Binghampton. Started 21 games at W&L. My son's friend went there and they played pretty good soccer (D1 Champ Vermont is in their league).  Plus he'll be closer to home. In my day which may be the same today, Binghampton was know as one of the best academic SUNY.
