I've only seen F&M play twice this year and each time they pretty much bypassed the midfield and played long diagonal balls out of the back to Horowitz. Not unlike Montclair who are constantly launching long balls to Lukovic. Clearly both teams have found success with that, but you don't see a lot of combination play through the midfield from either - at least I haven't seen it.

True. Oscar does have several of those types of goals.  Check out this video of the three goals against the Muhls (4th was a unfortunate own goal) - https://www.instagram.com/reel/CyLjpqpPYk7/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==  Please note that the first goal by Oscar was a result of Koa Kaliebe (8 goals this season himself) great, great play with two defenders around him as well as the keeper. Oscar just got to the right place at the right time with a nice finish.  Second was a very nice outside shot by a kid who has an incredible foot. The last was F&M camping out in front of the Muhls goal.  Oscar again off of a good shot by another player saved by the keeper, then Koa had a chance which the keeper saved and then a back did not clear well. It went into Oscar's foot and then fortunate deflection over the keepers head. Constant pressure

Last video, Koa again and Phil Monos just weaving around many Muhls. Counted two megs with only inches from the end line. Point is that Oscar has the results, but guys like Koa and Phil get Oscar those opportunities. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CyL6FNwuGTS/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Sierra did bring the receipts though.

Early shameless plug for GOW next week on 10/18 when Hopkins visits Washington College in the Battle of the (Old) Bay as I will be making the road trip to Chestertown for the game in person?  If only I can find time to hit the Middleton in Annapolis while I'm up there  ???

SKUD

Fair and funny!  Thank you!

College Soccer Observer

Middlebury at Connecticut College on Sunday 10/15 has to be on the short list.  Both teams currently undefeated.

Thanks Fred! Like I said, no or at least not many, inconsequential games left. Good times!  Not far from the Middleton, great place.

Spent my 21st birthday hitting the bar scene there and did my first oyster shooter and loved it.  Imagine my face looked like Jim Ignatowski in that Taxi flashback episode when he was at Harvard and ate the pot brownie and made that Iggy face for the first time.

Classic Taxi. One of the best episodes!

Horrible I have ever heard.

Love it Freddy

Hahaha. Live it every day. Many of my kids' friends and parents have similar accents. Live between Bmore and Annapolis on the Chesapeake (or did until recently just a little further from the Chesapeake). Strong, strong presence. You can definitely figure out in seconds who grew up here.

Only thing that gets confusing is the slightly variant Delaware/Philly/South Jersey amalgamations.

I'm gonna stand with CSO on this one....Middlebury at Conn Coll is the game of the week.  Hard to beat #4 vs #3 according to the esteemed D3boards.com fan poll.

That's on Sunday...not too far behind in what is an unusually overflowing cornucopia of treats on a Sunday are Williams at Tufts, Amherst at MSU, and Texas Lutheran at Colorado Coll.

For Friday, SLU at Vassar is probably the most important, although Southwestern at Colorado Coll and Oglethorpe at Rhodes are key tilts as well.

On Saturday the headliners are the yet to be mentioned Hopkins at F&M match as well as Mary Washington at Christopher Newport.  Very close behind are Brockport at Cortland, John Carroll at Ohio Northern, and CWRU at Rochester.  That said, the shrewd consumer will not want to miss critical conference games like Wheaton (MA) at Babson, Western Connecticut at nemesis UMass-Boston, and Virginia Wesleyan at Lynchburg.

Sleeper upset pick....Colby at Conn Coll on Saturday.
