Something that's unclear to me in all these conference-specific ones, including the GLVC one.

Do you get access to non-conference road games that might be behind a different paywall? I'd have to think that the host institution's paywall preferences would take precedent, and admittedly, I'm biased because I'm one of the very few fans whose rival institution is in different conferences.

But still, I think part of my cognitive difference is feeling like some of these are just giving me half of the schedule.

There are other Hudle based league networks, but with the GLVC, you get non-conference games hosted by GLVC schools on the GLVC network along with all league games, but not, for example, games against the MIAA schools.

I would think that the home team controls whether or not the visitor can do a videocast (if they bring a team and the setup) and that further the terms schools agree upon with Flo expressly disallow another broadcast to take place.

I do not remember the context, but I think it came up in interviews and was also mentioned in a Landmark Conference press release, but yes, they apparently have two software packages.

The impression that I got was that a number of leagues that signed with Flo last year were not using the new special software, but I could be wrong.


The Landmark Conference is one of the flagship partners to use the FloSports Production Suite that was developed to elevate stream quality and graphic packages for Division-II and Division-III partners. The investment in production and deployment at the member institution level includes a hardware and software package that has greatly advanced streaming quality leading to 100% delivery of 60 FPS video feeds (an increase of 45% ) and a dramatic rise in uptime delivery. The production package is currently used at Catholic University and Moravian and will roll out to all 10 member institutions in the conference for the 2026-2027 season.

If you want to see what Flo streaming could be, log in and check out a Carson-Newman game.  They're a D2 school about an hour north of Maryville.  Whatever they are doing, they should write the recipe and sell it.

I am very impressed with their production.

It's likely they were competent before the advent of Flo.  Until the schools step up their own games (which has been very slow to happen in the years since this rolled out) overall production quality will continue to be inconsistent.

That might very well be the case. Carson-Newman (and conference-mate Lenoir-Rhyne in Week 0) has stepped it up and we see what could be (I didn't say it was because of Flo).  These are not massive schools; they can be the examples we all follow.  I'm saying it just so happened that of the two D3 games that I watched to start the year, both had multiple "oops we're sorry" moments.  If WUPHF is correct in recollecting there is a separate package that needs to be purchased, well, the damn thing should be mandatory (sort of to IC's point).  I was hot last night when I missed the first Belhaven score just minutes into the game.
