15-0 is still quite impressive, congrats to Lake Forest. They have four games left, the next two regular season games won't help their NPI and the best two opponents in conference tourney will get them ending between 9-12 in NPI. Still hosting a pod which is a great achievement and 19-1 would be an historic season no matter what happens in NCAA. Good luck to them.

Whitworth (NPI #171) @ Whitman (NPI #58)

The Battle of the Whits is always a good matchup, but this year Whitman is in first place and Whitworth is in third place in the Northwest Conference.  In the first matchup between the teams at Whitworth, Whitman won 3-1, but that was almost a month ago and Whitman, while still undefeated at 9-0-5 (8-0-2 in the NWC), had some shaky results the last two games, tying Willamette 1-1 on an 86th minute goal and beating Pacific 3-2 on an 83rd minute goal.  Whitman has been living dangerously for awhile and is only two points clear of second place Pacific Lutheran, which is also undefeated in the NWC at 7-0-3.  I doubt this game affects anything other than the NWC AQ, but it could have implications for Colorado College and Mary Hardin-Baylor, both of whom have tied Whitman and are relying on those half-wins for NPI points.

15-0 is impressive, but the average NPI for the teams Lake Forest faced (before UW-W) was 201.  They faced and defeated two top 100 teams during the run; Calvin (42) 3-0 and IWU (61), 1-0.  They slipped by #380 Lawrence 2-1.

Whitman would be up to around 45 with the win tonight. Need to win out though to get close to at-large bid area. No conference tourney in NWC, last regular season game is against Pacific Lutheran and that could be a de-facto conference title game with only one getting a bid.

This Saturday #4 St. Olaf travels to #7 Augsburg. The Oles clinched their 3rd straight regular season MIAC crown on Tuesday and look to become the 5th team in MIAC history to go unblemished across the conference season (10-0). Standing in their way are the Auggies who are unbeaten at home this year (7-0-1). St. Olaf sports an away record of 7-1 with their only loss of the season coming at the hands of UW-Superior (who took them down in the round of 32 last season via penalties).

A benchmark game for both squads as the calendar flips to November. Should be a entertaining match with immense quality on both sides of the ball. Can't wait to tune in!

Mary Hardin-Baylor (NPI #36) @ Trinity (TX) (NPI #14)

This game could be of huge importance for Mary Hardin-Baylor.  Although the ASC is down to 4 teams this season, they are still holding a conference tournament.  So, the fact that UMHB has wrapped up the ASC regular season championship doesn't guarantee that they will get the ASC automatic bid.  Mary Hardin Baylor is currently #36 in the NPI, which doesn't give them a lot of wiggle room if they don't win the AQ.  If they can beat Trinity or even tie them, that might be enough to make the AQ not critical.

Trinity, on the other hand, probably doesn't need this game considering that they are also getting the SoS bump of playing Southwestern on Saturday and maybe again in the SAA tournament, but if they lost this game and then also were upset in the SAA tournament, they might be at risk of tumbling.  On the flip side, if Trinity could beat UMHB and beat Southwestern (perhaps twice if they meet in the SAA tourney), that might insure that they would get hosting rights, possibly beyond the first two rounds.  That would be huge for their chances of advancing in the NCAA tourney.
