Does anyone know if the player from Williams that was injured yesterday (in the Williams vs. MIT game) is ok?  That was one of the roughest mid-air collisions I have ever seen in D3 women's soccer.  The video immediately cut from the injured players (which is what should and normally does happen) and ended up focused across the field on the Williams bench where the players were understandably a little emotional.  After roughly 45 minutes, when play resumed, the announcer obviously wasn't going to give any details but you could see the ambulance with lights on leaving the field complex.  The MIT player was able to walk off the field with some assistance.  Hopefully they were just following precautionary measures and the injury is not too serious!

Here is the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 - Poll 6 (October 14, 2025): https://unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-diii-women/

I was surprised to see Messiah at #4 one ahead of Chicago, who doesn't have a loss (just one tie).

Tufts are hosting the Mammoths of Amherst this afternoon at 4pm so we will see if they can remain undefeated against their conference opponent.

Meantime, Messiah plays Penn State - Harrisburg for the first time in their program history tonight at 7pm.  The coach of Penn State - Harrisburg is Coach Scott Frey's son-in-law!  So Scott Frey's daughter (also a decorated alumni of Messiah Women's Soccer) will have something to be happy about and something to not be happy about no matter what!

You are right and I am wrong for the second straight week.

The coaches are still quite high on 7-2-3 Brandeis which would have bolstered the case for Emory.

I agree on Chicago, they have a strong case for No. 1.

This shall be a relatively quiet week for the UAA, but Chicago and Washington University will travel to Emory the following weekend for games that may well settle the UAA Women's and Men's championships.

Amherst gets the go ahead score on a penalty kick with 4 minutes left to beat Tufts 2-1.  That means the Jumbos will most surely drop down from the #3 spot next Tuesday (depending what else happens this next week).

CentPA

The night for upsets .. Penn State - Harrisburg upsets Messiah 1-0 scoring the only goal on a penalty kick
with less than 2 minutes left in the first half and holds on for the win!  That has a good chance of dropping Messiah out of the top 10.

So far this week the top 25 have seen three upsets all of which were home games!  #3, #4, and #16 lost this week at home on Tuesday late afternoon, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night respectively:

#3 Tufts lost at home to unranked Amherst 1-2,
#4 Messiah lost at home to unranked Penn State - Harrisburg 0-1, and
#16 Misericordia lost at home to unranked York (PA) 1-2.

We'll see what happens this weekend.  With the UAA back in action and having all 8 teams in the top 25 (such a tough conference), there are bound to be at least 4 more top 25 with losses (or maybe a tie or two) this weekend.

#1 Emory leading over #25 NYU 2-0 in the 14th minute on goals scored by Kaitlyn Nimmer and Sophia Asaian.

(Correction--- Emory's first goal, which was initially credited to Kaitlyn Nimmer, has now been credited to Sophia Asaian, giving her a brace on the afternoon.)

#21 Rochester leading over #13 Brandeis 1-0 in the 16th minute.

I gave in and paid a month ransom to Flo$port$ and had the Emory vs NYU on one iPad and Brandeis vs Rochester on a second iPad streaming and had no issues with either game's video.  I was impressed with both announcers who I thought did a good job calling the games.

Emory looks like they deserve their #1 ranking at this point.  They were the much stronger team in the first half and give credit to NYU for looking better in the second half but still were unable to find a way to score a goal against Emory.

Brandeis vs Rochester looked like a much more even match, but like deiscanton mentioned, that early goal held up.

I watched the #3 Tufts vs #10 Middlebury game at 11am that ended in a 0-0 draw.  So Tufts with a loss and a draw this week in their conference.  No idea where they will end up in the national rankings this Tuesday.

#6 CWRU 1, #5 UChicago 0 in the 30th minute.

CWRU goal scored in the 28th minute by Abby Welker, assist by Jamie Goldfarb.

#6 CWRU 1, #5 UChicago 1 in the 34th minute.

Chicago has scored an equalizer.   The equalizer was scored by U.Chicago's Mary Stuart Kerrigan off a corner kick in the 34th minute.    Taking the corner kick and getting the assist on the equalizer was Annabel Edwards.

Halftime at Stagg Grass Field in Chicago, IL

#6 CWRU 1, #5 UChicago 1.

While I expect that the second half will be exciting to watch, I will not be able to live post the second half due to other commitments.  I may comment on the final score after 7 PM ET.

I do expect that I will have time tomorrow to do some live posting on the Carnegie Mellon at WashU game.
