Once again this year, I'll start a thread on the teams that have yet to lose, organized by where they fall in the Massey Rankings, which also has strength-of-sechedule data.  Unlike last year, I'll also track the teams that have yet to win (in honor of Lewis & Clark, which won this year for the first time since 1990), organized in reverse order under the Massey Rankings.  Then we can follow as they fall or rise, one-by-one, through to the end of the season.

EDIT:  Added TCNJ to the Yet to Lose Teams (hat tip BlueJay95)

Crazy that Westfield State hasn't won a game- didn't they make the 2nd round in the tournament last year? Quite the drop off. I know they don't have a lot of history, but that's a big season to season drop.

Westfield State definitely did not make the tournament last year either.

St. Frances (PA) is a bit of an outlier here as isn't this their first year in D3 after dropping from D1? There were always going to be growing pains.

Yeah, I was wrong on all counts regarding Westfield- it was 2024 and they lost to Tufts in the 1st round 2-1. Anyway, they were still 10-4-5 last year so my point stands- going from 10 wins to 0 so far is a huge drop. Granted their conference is pretty easy so I'm sure they'll pick up a few wins now.

Yes.  Saint Francis is basically a brand new roster.  Saint Francis currently lists 15 players on the roster (they have 1-2 names on the stats that are no longer linked to a roster bio, so they may have lost a few players).  14 of them are freshman and 1, Alvaro Planas, is a senior and the only returner.  Planas must feel like that Will Smith GIF from Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Planas is a really good player from Valladolid, Spain who was first team All-NEC last season in DI, but he was never a big goal scorer out of the midfield.  It seems like he was more of a linking player.  Last season, he had 4g/2a and this year he has 2g/1a, but that still makes him the top scorer and assist man on the team.  The team only averages 4.9 shots a game and has only had 5 corner kicks all season.  Planas has the most shots of anyone on the team and he only has taken 5 shots. Only 4 players have even taken any shots.

Four players have played goalkeeper, but only two are listed as goalkeepers and they collectively have a 5.00 GAA.  It looks like the starting GK and only true GK on the roster got hurt after 2 games.  They had to play two field players when he went out (the forward who played and conceded 4 goals has no doubt sworn to never utter a bad word when a GK on his team concedes a goal again).  The guy who has started the last 5 games as GK doesn't have a photo on the roster and posted the following on his Instagram account on 9/22/26:

QuoteTurns out I wasn't done. I just had unfinished business #d3 #newbeginnings

That was after he played his first game on 9/19.  I'm guessing the coach scoured the campus for anyone with any kind of goalkeeping experience and found this kid playing pickup with his HS buddies.  He now has a 5.20 GAA.  It's going to be a LONG season.

Westfield State is one of Amherst's two wins this year and in the very real possibility that Amherst doesn't reach 10 wins and therefore can't drop a "bad" win, Westfield State could be enough of a drag on their SoS and NPI score to keep them out of the tournament.  Westfield State's NPI rank is currently 392 out of 401 and their NPI score is 39.398.  Amherst is currently sitting at 125 in the NPI simulator, which is dead last in the NESCAC.  The next lowest is Hamilton at 63.  Amherst's score will improve as they play more conference games, but they'll be rooting for Westfield State to improve too.

Amherst should be concerned with making the NESCAC tournament. Any thoughts of making the NCAA Tournament is a pipe dream for the Lord Mammoths.

Wilson 7 - Gallaudet 0

Wilson firmly announces its exit from the "Yet to Win" category with a dominant win against fellow "Yet to Win" team Gallaudet. This is just one example where there are levels of winless teams and Gallaudet is at the bottom floor of that list.

Can't believe St. Mary's (MN) is still on the no wins list. I watched their game against #1 St. Olaf, and they really didn't look totally overmatched. It ended a 2-0 Ole win, and was not a statistical blowout by any means.

Them being able to do that against one of the best teams in the country, but still not getting a W in any of their other 10 games to this point is nuts to me. They gotta get one soon here.

NYU falls from the Yet to Lose category after losing to University of Chicago 1-0 on a 90th minute goal.
