Quote from: iwu70 on March 14, 2025, 08:44:22 AMGame Day -- IWU hosting UW Oshkosh tonight at The Shirk, 7:30 p.m.

Baldwin Wallace plays Ohio Wesleyan in the 5 p.m. game.

Go TITANS -- everyone has to hit the glass tonight, then pressure them and run them out of the gym.

IWU'70

Some of us played when it was a board, not glass.  ::)

Quote from: NEPAFAN on March 13, 2025, 01:17:30 PMAwful quiet in here... how does jhu match up with the lady royals?

They match up well and there's a lot of familiarity between the 2 teams since they played in the same round last season on a neutral floor(NYU) and they scrimmaged each other this preseason @ Hopkins. I would rather have faced Carnegie-Mellon, instead.

Quote from: Augie2020 on March 11, 2025, 10:51:05 PMQuestion did NCAA do without ECAC?

There is an 8-team ECAC tourney in each gender; championship is Sat - VA Wesleyan v Salisbury(Men) and Allegheny v William Paterson(women).

Yes, I was thinking(w/o confirming) that the 2nd round(8) would be half the 1st round(16); the good news is that I could still use some players in the 3rd round that I didn't use in the 2nd.

Quote from: NEPAFAN on March 10, 2025, 08:44:39 AMPretty dead in here...How was the weekend for those in attendance? Not much suspense with the games...

Maybe half the student section filled Friday nite but they were largely mute; good crowd in the Byron for Shamrocking; down to about 20 students at the game Saturday nite; saw maybe a hundred along Mulberry street after the game celebrating after the parade.
Wore my Scott Pilarz honorary shirt Friday nite; Fr Marina saw me in it and mentioned its significance to me.
Watched the parade on TV; Eagles' defensive coordinator(and Dunmore native) Vic Fangio was the guest of honor. 11 pipe bands, sunny day in the 40s after starting with enough snow to cover my car; melted by 10 AM.

Are you headed back this weekend?

Yes
