It seems Rowan(#7 seed) and Messiah(#8) were underrated, having gone 4-1 so far in the Finals.

Whitewater is going with Ben Lee, who hasn't thrown since he started in the Regional "clincher" against Adrian, where he went seven innings and gave up just one run...

Messiah going with junior Daniel Knight, who has thrown just one inning this Postseason....

Cootway running away with the Most Outstanding Player of the World Series this year.  He's gone yard again today as Whitewater leads Messiah 7-1 after five innings of play.

Add a RBI double to the tally for Cootway...  Whitewater on their way to a Game #1 victory as they lead 16-2 after seven innings of play as Eli Frank hits a Grand Slam off of the fourth Messiah pitcher of the day in a nine run 7th inning for the Warhawks.

18-3 Final....  Whitewater a win away from their first Baseball National Championship since 2016.

Side note....  Neither broadcaster picked up on the fact that the infield pop-up was never touched by anyone before m bouncing off the rubber, making it a foul ball....  (Not a "do over" as one surmised.)

Really, it seemed like nobody picked up on it except Vodenlich. Kudos to him.

Watching the stream, I was trying to figure out how the ball kicked behind home plate if a fielder had dropped it...  Once they showed the replay and you could see nobody got a glove on it, I said foul ball right away.  (It was a question on an old Umpire's Test I took.)
