I looked at the Pool C teams from bids #19 -23 and then the next 5 "on the table". The record versus D-3 includes regular season and conference tourney games.

Legend: Record against D-3 with percentage, NPI ranking; Team; NPI; Losses to teams with losing records in parentheses

26-17-1  (.602) #38    TCNJ            56.923   Dickinson (16-19)

TCNJ played 17 games (6-11) against tourney teams! What a boost to the NPI.

They beat MSOE, Rutgers-Camden, Arcadia, Ramapo, Rowan and Kean.
They lost to Salisbury, JHU, Endicott, Denison, Rutgers Camden; Rowan x3, Kean x3, Ramapo.
That is 12 games against teams with the Top 12 NPI's.

In that Mid-Atlantic corridor, you can get 15 games against high quality opponents to boost the NPI.

For those on the islands of Regions 6, 8, 9, and 10.I think that one needs at least a .700 winning percentage and no losses to sub .500 teams to be above the bubble. The McMurry loss to 8-27 U Dallas may have been too much.

I hope someone can run the computer numbers of the Cal Tech loss by Redlands and flip that result.

Appears that six out of the eight Super Regionals will be decided after just two games. Whitewater vs UWO and Kean vs Salve Regina are the only two Super Regionals to go the full three games.

Rowan defeated #5 Lynchburg.

The NPI was very instructive over a 40-game season.
