Looking to create a list of schools who have posted their coming nonconference/tourney schedules so that interesting matchups can be contemplated. As you become aware of such, append to the list(alphabetically). I'll start it off with:

Illinois Wesleyan                  https://www.iwusports.com/sports/womens-basketball/schedule
Montclair
North Central(IL)                 https://northcentralcardinals.com/sports/womens-basketball/schedule
North Park
Wheaton(IL)                        https://athletics.wheaton.edu/sports/womens-basketball/schedule
York(PA)

As you become aware of such, append to the list(alphabetically). If we get enough(25?) contributions, we can regroup them by region since with covid considerations, these OOC games will most likely be within the same region. I'll start it off with:

I'll speculate that the successful made 3s will drop to under 25% which would have the same value as shooting 37.5% for 2s.

As a Scranton fan, got to add Travis Farrell's 3-pointer to beat Middlebury in the 2012 NCAA round of 16.

Ralph,
How does the bracketing go in a regional? Ryan offered a layout that doesn't seem reasonable for a seeded tourney: instead of byes in the 1st round for the top 2 seeds, he has 1 vs 6, 2 vs 5, and 3 vs 4 with the winner of 1/6 playing the winner of the losers 2/5-3/4 in their next round.
Hi Ronk,

The NCAA has used a standard 6-team bracket for as long as I can remember (~20 years).

Here it is on Page 9 of this year's Championship Handbook.

https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/championships/sports/baseball/d3/2020-21D3MBA_PreChampsManual.pdf

There's actually a different bracket in use because the one listed in the Handbook does NOT have anywhere for Game 5 LOSER (if the 1-0 team loses)....

THIS link to the actual 2021 Regionals explains what happens after Games 1-6:

https://www.ncaa.com/_flysystem/public-s3/files/DIII%20Baseball%20Brackets%20-%20COVID_Regionals_6_Team%20-%202021.pdf

Thanks for the additional info. This is fair in  the sense that everyone plays once on each of the first 2 days, but I still prefer a normal-seeded tourney with, in a 6-team bracket, byes in the 1st round for the top 2 seeds.

Checked out this coming season's conference schedule: Royals open(away-12/4) and close(2/19) with Catholic; Sat doubleheaders have men play 1st.

Release from athletic dept: The Royals are the No. 6 seed in the region and will battle top seeded St. Thomas (Minnesota) who enters the tournament at 29-7 at a time to be determined on Thursday.

Doesn't sound like a seeded tournament: #6(Scranton) should play  #3(York), not #1(St. Thomas)

It's a six-team double elimination tournament for regionals - then they take the eight regional winners to the final tournament.

Yes, and, in a 6-team regional, 1 & 2 should get byes, 3 should play 6 and 4 play 5 in the 1st round. Then 1 plays the 4/5 winner and 2 plays the 3/6 winner in the next round of the winner's bracket.

Because its double elimination, they don't do byes - well at least in the first round.  The winner of the 1-6 game gets to wait and play the winner of the 2-5 and 3-4 losers, which is where they get the advantage of being the #1.  Kind of like a second round bye.

Ryan,
I checked with Ralph from the baseball board and you're right; I should have gone to the championship handbook first.
