Although I'd love to see TJ Adkinson flashing down the field and catching balls this year for Wooster.....I'd much rather see him calling the signals than the the freshman Heffers. Hopefully Woo will have 5 or 6 QBS in camp to have a good ole fashioned competition and 1 man will stand out....whoever that may be.  ???

For those of you who don't know, TJ  has been the backup behind Holter/ Parker the past 2 years and understands the offense. He is a very athletic kid with speed that could be used at other spots on the field because he is such a gifted athlete. I would say on the ground he is a faster player than Holter, now he just needs to get the reps and work on his timing with the receivers. I see a lot of screens and dink n dunks this year to Flagg, Smith and McIntyre. They will have the athletes to score, just need to be able to get the ball to them.

Don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but I was driving through Wooster yesterday and looked down at the Papp, only to see mounds of dirt, cranes and lots of iron blocking my view. Visiting teams and newcomers will have a pleasant suprise this fall and hopefully the construction will stay on track for the 2012 season. New turf and and the new Scot Center will be a nice recruiting tool here in the next few years.

On another note:

Steve Custenborder has turned in his football uniform and cleats and transfered to The Ohio State University to finish his education. Bad news for the Scots with Degrand and Cust now gone.

Any insight on the Wooster recruiting class? I heard that Shawn Smith will return this year after opting out to deal with personal issues last year. That kid could start on either side of the ball.... very quick and great footwork. How many QBs did they bring in? I read that Case Western brought in 9, must be nice....

I think Woosters lack of depth will play a big role in this one, but this will be a good game. Woo pretty much replaces its whole line this year....they will need to grow up fast.

Any new news on the Denison search?

Is Bash rooting for Witt or do they want another ring on their hands? Although it's a long shot for Woo to pull an upset, you never know.......  8)

Go Scots! ;D

Interesting as well:

Im my comment.....I was assuming that Woo beat Allegheny. Although they are tough, I think the offense will put up some numbers. Hopefully the Wooster D will show up a bit on Saturday.

As for your analysis, I think it's spot on. The CCIW is the conference to watch - since Wheaton could easily move past Wabash in the rankings and Illinois Wesleyan could also do so if they win out.

Illinois Wesleyan winning out would create its own mess......  with North Central and Wheaton upcoming, it is definitely a tough road for the Titans.   If they win one, I believe they are still up for consideration, if the lose both, they are done.

It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out for Pool C.   Wooster needs to have the game of its life on November 14 and beat Witt.

Hopefully Holter and company will end his career/ season with a bang! To my understanding all the Wabash fans will be big Scot supporters on November 14......as the tie-breaker will give Wabash the AQ. Is that correct? ??? (if everyone who is suppose to win, wins out and Woo beats Witt)

Now that the Woo/ Bash game is over and Witt stands alone, how does this play out?

Assuming Witt and Wooster both win out to week 10 (hoping Allegheny doesn't pull an upset):

A) Witt beats Wooster and wins the NCAC outright and Wabash probably sneaks in with a at large @ 9-1

B) Woo beats Witt and causes some drama within the league and a 3-way tie for 1st place.

My sources swear on their life that in this situation (B) it is Wooster that gets the Automatic Bid because of the circumstances and the "rose bowl rule": Wabash beat Wooster, Wooster beat Witt and Witt beat Wabash. If this were the case as well......will the NCAC get an at large if Wooster gets the Automatic?

Big game tomorrow....sounds like the forecast is " Cloudy with a chance of rain/ high 53 degrees". Not much chatter from either team. Good luck to Wabash, and GO SCOTS!

Congrats to Holter and Frederick......hopefully Frederick won't have the same outing as he did last week  ;)

Congratulations to Frederick and Holter---hopefully Holter won't have the same outing as he had last week ;)

Holter seems to put up big numbers week in and week out....the key to this game is how many times can he lead them into the endzone. The Scots seem to stall a lot in the redzone and that makes for a more interesting game, especially if Miracle can move the offense :'(.  I doubt this matchup will be the defensive battle you witnessed last week.
