Quote from: BergAlum2 on September 10, 2025, 08:39:24 PMQuestion for the Mount historians, when is the last time ya'll lost a regular season out of conference game, the 90s?

It was in the game notes for this week's game. Mount last lost a non-conference regular season game to Denison on September 16, 1989.
I think Denison was still running the Single Wing in '89.

Quote from: cuyahogacuse on September 01, 2025, 12:26:23 AMGreetings OAC and specifically Mount Union fans. It's officially game week.

Wheaton fan here. Looking forward to the game this weekend.

Question: What's the deal with single game tickets? Looked at the Mount Union web site and it appears they are using the HomeTown Ticketing online platform, and I see options for football season tickets and other single-game options for other fall sports. But no single-game option for football?

Any insight here? I see you guys talking about about the limited info coming out of the Athletic Communication office in Alliance. Hoping you all can offer some assistance.
It appears you are correct.  I sent an email to the AD.  Hopefully they will have this corrected soon.

Update from Mount's AD:  Single game tickets will go on sale after 9AM this morning. Enjoy your trip to Mount Union. It should be a great game.

Quote from: ADL70 on August 29, 2025, 09:59:51 PMWhen did he get his degree?

The article says 2021.
He left Mount Union for the NFL before graduation.  After his NFL career he later returned to Mount to complete his degree.

Quote from: Captainred81 on August 28, 2025, 03:04:26 PMA) I think we should table the criticism and wait for the season to start.  We were in the Stagg Bowl last year, and had a solid chance to win the game.

B)  110 Incoming freshman in this day and age is amazing.  He must be doing something right to get that amount of players.

C)  I will be thoroughly let down if Mount is not in this years Canton Stagg Bowl.  Not by players or coaches, just in general.

D)  I skimmed through the roster and the QB and RB rooms are gonna be full.  Good to see Leibler on the list.  Also, looking forward to seeing what Jerry Copper Jr. can do this year.  I think he really started to turn it on last year at the end of the season

At last, a voice of reason.

Quote from: rscl70 on January 05, 2025, 11:18:03 PMDon't know if I'd fire Dart, but I'd sure as He** fire the entire Defensive Staff!

shockingly, it wasn't the defense that had any of the head scratching moments tonight
Really?  NC could have had at least three more TDs if they had passed on every play.  The secondary couldn't make a play, and there was no pressure on the QB.  Mount's offense missed opportunities, the defense lost the game.

Beaudrie was dressed and on the sidelines Saturday.  He seemed to be moving very well.  The longer he has to heal the better.  Stick with DeShields until necessity dictates otherwise.

Quote from: hsbsballcoach7 on November 15, 2024, 06:53:44 AMJust saw this shared on ncaa.com:

2024 NCAA DIII football tournament schedule
Selection show: Sunday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. ET on NCAA.com
First round: Monday, Nov. 18
Second round: Monday, Nov. 25
Quarterfinals: Monday, Dec. 2
Semifinals: Monday, Dec. 9 on ESPN+
National championship: Sunday, Dec. 15 on ESPNU

These dates can't be correct, right? Like all of them other than the selection show.

I hope it's a mistake.  Can you imagine being picked for the first round? You wouldn't have any time to prepare for your opponent or even to make travel arrangements! If these dates are correct the NCAA just gave DIII the middle finger.

Quote from: Raider 68 on September 23, 2024, 05:31:02 PMA good Athletic Director would be nice, but this guy is invisible? ???
Mount now has a strength and conditioning coach, something LK wanted but couldn't get done.  I wouldn't call Mike Parnell "invisible."

Quote from: BillyRayJimBob on August 29, 2024, 10:48:11 PMHmmm...
The D3Football.com "Teams"/"Schedule" website page selection shows a home game for Ferrum against Greensboro tonight.  No accompanying scoreboard update or result.
Must be a mistake.
Greensboro was a scrimmage.

Quote from: D3fanboy on April 19, 2024, 12:06:16 PMmoving the Stagg Bowl, between the same handful of teams, to January is silly.  How are they going to handle the players wanting to go home for the Holidays in the couple of weeks off between the Semis and Stagg?  Is the NCAA going to foot that bill? or do kids from multiple states away have to either stay on campus or fly back and forth on super short notice?  Who's going to feed the 100+ players while the two campuses are likely closed?  Can't wait for the biggest D3 football showcase to get bumped to ESPN Ocho and have dozens and dozens of eyeballs watching during the final weekend of the NFL regular season

I'm sure that the schools that will be in the championship will figure all that stuff out.
The current DIII season is 11 weeks long. Most schools play a 10 game schedule with a bi-week. If the regular season is reduced to 10 weeks, eliminating the bi-week, an extra week of playoffs could be accommodated without having to move the Stagg Bowl from its traditional pre-Christmas date.

FYI...Beaudrie is coming back to Mount!

I suspected/hoped that this would be the case.  Really looking forward to seeing the Raiders with Beaudrie at the helm.

Keep pouring it on Alma.  Salem is a great place to visit in mid-December!
