Feels like yesterday when tufts beat messiah to win their first national championship. That was one of the best messiah teams I recall watching too..

Wow. Amherst out. Did not expect that. Think another nescac team has a really good shot of winning this thing.

NESCAC again proving they deserve several at-large bids each year. If only this were the case during my time playing...

Agreed. As a camel fan, happy so many of our players made it. But weird to see 3 of our defenders made it over some of the other options . Cest la vie!

I suspect you and I were on the same sideline on Sunday and observed the same level of play. And yes, Devlin was awesome back in the Kenny era. Loved watching that young man play, especially when he knocked in the winning penalty in the NESCAC quarterfinal against Williams (after a super late equalizer in regulation from someone else) on Harkness field. One of my best Conn memories, right there.
Fingers crossed you can get down here for the action on Saturday or Sunday.
Ahh, what a memory. I played in that Williams game and remember the 3-3 comeback with a last minute free kick well. I felt we had a really strong team that year and really felt that we should have got an at-large NCAA bid that year. If only we didn't lose to Bowdoin that next game. It seems the selection committee has gotten wiser giving more NESCAC teams at-large bids since then. If only I played in a different era...would have loved to join the dance.
Will certainly do my best to make it to New London for these upcoming games!

Hi everyone,
Figured it was a good time to get in the game. Im a Conn Coll Mens Soccer Alum. Won't reveal my identity, but played during the Ken Murphy era. Of course, have remained an ardent Camel supporter since graduating from school, and nothing made me happier than seeing the boys win the national championship (crazy to think we could have a second).
Was impressed by the game yesterday. Conn doesnt have an all American difference maker, like a Devlin, anymore, but it's remarkable how cohesive of a team they are. Never gets old seeing the team move the ball around. If only we played this way when I was around...but the level of talent these days is ridiculous.
Was happy to see we made it to the tourney. I actually am quite happy with the draw. I wouldn't be surprised to see us make it through the first few games quite comfortably. For those saying Tufts is a shoe-in for this tourney, I beg to differ. Anything can happen in a one off game, and even going back to my time with a far worse team, we always seemed to play Tufts close. I do think whoever makes it out between Tufts and Conn will make it to the final, though.
Look forward to finally joining this community after years of watching from the outside.

Appreciate the difficulty of putting together a list like this.
But can't seem to understand why Yeonas from Conn was not included? Mind providing some insight on his exclusion from all three of your teams?
He was the stand-out player to me in every single match I watched them play. Rarely lost the ball, played almost the entire game in multiple positions, high defensive work rate, ridiculous engine, and provided timely goals/assists.
His stats might not compare to others but I do not think that Conn team has the level of success they did without him.

Next year will be a real chance to prove himself as theoretically there should be a ton of upside for Williams. The team brings its entire starting lineup (and lots of frosh who played big minutes) back to a team that suffered each of its seven losses by exactly one goal (including two losses to Conn, one to Tufts, one to Amherst, and one to Midd in double OT). Given how much some NESCAC teams lose to graduation, maybe a very veteran Williams team can pull a few of those out next year and get back in the post-season mix, which is a good place to start as a goal. I think Williams should be strong in the back next year but they could sure use a big-time striker and a creative attacking midfielder, so hopefully that recruiting acumen comes into play early (although not sure how easy it was to recruit in the fall as an interim coach).
The only recruits I've seen so far are D David Armini from Northfield Mount Herman and Sam Gibson, a F from Chicago Latin, and Henry Kirkman, a MF from Moses Brown. No idea what level those guys are supposed to be. It's certainly been a long while since Williams brought in the types of classes that Amherst, Tufts, Conn and lately Middlebury have ... One recruit who Williams really missed out on last year was Jack Kelosoglu, who I BELIEVE is the son (or likely is) of a former Eph player ...
Off a tangent, but just want to reiterate that Kelosoglu is unbelievable for a freshman. I really can't wait to watch the young man develop over the next few years. Surely he will be an AA by the time he graduates if Conn maintains its upwards trajectory. In fact, congratulations to the whole Camel backline. They were so young and performed so well! Granted, I think Conn as a team really focuses on team defense (eg pressuring the ball as a unit immediately after they've lost it).
