Looks like nice weather in San Antonio today as what little rain that was in the forecast moved through overnight.  Low 70s to start and cloudy, mid 70s and sun may peek out by the end of the game.  Winds out of the southwest around 10 mph will help dry things out a bit.

It will be a cool fall afternoon in Mount Berry with temperatures increasing from the upper 40s at noon to the mid 50s by games end, with partly cloudy skies and winds around 10 mph.

LaGrange playing Berry very tough so far. Berry only up 8-7 a couple minutes into the 2nd qtr.

LaGrange breaks a long run to go up 14-8. I wasn't expecting this.

I'm torn. I would like the SAA champ to show well in the playoffs, but...it's Berry. I wouldn't shed a tear if LaGrange did a complete 180 on them. Plus, the better LaGrange is, the better than can compete for the Georgia talent against Berry since they are the only two D3s in the state.

But, hey. Trinity's in it, too. Today is a "Let's Go, Cats!"

Ralph Turner

A strong LaGrange helps D3 in the South.
Go Panthers.

I'm torn too, but this would be absolutely hilarious if this holds up.
Also, didn't realize #11 Kirk Scott QB for LaGrange is only a freshman. UGH. Finally don't have to worry about Bryson Rollins and this guy shows up. He's going to be a problem.

In other news, every member of the D3football.com panel picked HSU to win tomorrow's game, all by a TD or more.

Well this aged like milk left out in the sun. GO TIGERS

Congrats to Trinity... a third round game played 1 round early by virtue of geographic proximity.

In era of the modern extended playoff format, I wonder what the postseason records of the ASC teams and Trinity would be if there had been a pure "1 v 32" format had been in place.

Quote from: tigerguy on October 18, 2025, 03:39:03 PMHondo has found confidence as a dual threat quarterback and he is a capable in both respects. I would like to see Urban give him more opportunities on the ground because I think it will ultimately help with Hondo's internal clock in the pocket. He has historically had an issue holding onto the ball too long, so trusting his legs will continue to add a needed element of unpredictability to this offense.

I love when Urban and his staff review the forums and implement our suggestions. Hondo's legs were the difference today. Also hats off to the defense.

Today, Lagrange was able to rebound from a 48-0 drubbing by Berry earlier in the season and played them incredibly close. Hopefully Trinity has also learned a lot since their loss to Berry.

Lagrange had plenty of opportunities to win that game but turned the ball over too danged much when they were getting close.

Really great to see TJ Scannell get that game clinching INT and run it back for the final score.  Dude has some jets!   First INT of the year couldn't have come at a better time.

The O-line deserves some credit too.  Our D sacked them 5 times and had 11 TFL.  They got 0 sacks and 1 TFL.

I was talking with one of the experts who said they couldn't pick Trinity today because they lost so badly to Berry.  I think the last couple of weeks have shown a Tiger team playing at a much higher level than that early-season matchup and next week should see a better showing by the team from San Antonio.
