That's tremendous.

I can't wait to get out there tomorrow.  I can't wait to go back to that same spot I stood on October 12, 2002 and remember that moment when Mark Server's kick went through the uprights and Wabash football changed forever.

There's just so much more about Wabash and Wittenberg than just a game.  BashDad said it all much better than I could...but this one is different and it always will be.

Will you be in attendance in Springfield tomorrow Mr. Wally?

That shot of Server in the aftermath is an all-timer. Iconic.

bashgiant- absolutely will be in attendance. I'm on the road in about an hour.

The 'other' games in the first quarter:

Denison up on Allegheny 7-0
DPU leads Hiram 7-3
Wooster leads Kenyon 7-0
OWU blasts ahead of Oberlin 10-0

Of course Wabash up 8-7 on Witt.

Everyone is pulling away except in THE game:

Denison leads Allegheny 17-0 in the second.
DPU over Hiram 21-3 early in the second.
Wooster over Kenyon 14-0 in the second.
OWU over Oberlin 17-0 late in the first.

Wabash over Witt 8-7 after one. But you know that, since everyone is watching (for the most part...)

That was a great response, Little Giants. Wabash up 15-14 late in the 2Q.

Good - great defense by Wabash. Witt scores came either from a turnover, or as a result of a turnover.

Bad - Wabash has made stooooopid mistakes. They could be shutting out Witt and up by three scores. Alas.

Meanwhile:

DPU is decimating Hiram 38-3. Partridge has just 29 yards passing. The bad, awful Hiram has returned, it seems. Next week should be *fun* as in *finally some sort of game in the Monon Bell* Or not...

Denison easily over Allegheny 24-0 late in the second.

Wooster leads Kenyon 14-0 at the half.

OWU leads Oberlin 23-7 midway through the second.

Many of us said,  the only way Wabash doesn't win is if they beat themselves.   They are still in the lead at half,  even though they have beat themselves....   Stupid penalties, blocked kicks... fumble that shouldn't of happened.... fall down with the ball ... live to play another down.....  If they clean it up in the second half... we are in good shape.

Wabash ran 51 offensive plays in the first half.....
Why should you go for it on 4th down?
