Wes,

After further review, your ability to reference a specific Boone's Farm beverage in your earlier post just further proves my point!  That said, I will credit you with planting that seed in my head.

My crack research staff did find that Boone's Farm is "The Greatest Chick Drink of All Time".

Will you be tailgating next Saturday?

I am certainly not looking past this weeks game against Hiram, as I plan to be there, but does anyone know what the tailgating situation is for the Bell game?

Last year was my fist Bell game and it seems as though DePauw had far more parking than there is available at Wabash. Is there any restrictions on parking or is it first come, first served as usual? ???

Tailgating at Wabash for the Bell game is just like it is for any other home game...just cranked up by a few orders of magnitude.  Three or four times as many people along with bigger and badder tailgates.  It's great.

Thanks Wally, can't wait!

Now we just have to take care of business against Hiram and the Bell game atmosphere will be awesome!

It has been a while since I have been up for a Bell game in person and looking forward to coming back this year.

With regards to tailgaiting.  If you are wanting to do it behind the stadium in the parking lot seems like you have to get there the night before and stake out your claim or be there at the crack of dawn on Saturday.  Has that changed any from others that have been there more recently to tailgate for the Bell game?

That's pretty accurate, fijidoc.

You are right on the money.  One of the improvements is that the Dannies have their own lot next to the fine arts center ... so they do not polute the ground behind Hollett.  Be there early Sat morning for sure.  It looks like a civil war bivouac except red is everywhere. PLUS ... hospitality is the name of the game.  That and some pretty exotic and extravigant food choices.

Last time there was a SNAFU at the entrance gate behind Hollett as Wabash did not properly remember that tailgating continues till just a few minutes before the game and everyone then starts for the game ... it was a little Coconut Grove-esk.

We should bring that to Tom Brambrey's attention so that gateways are ready for that final rush.

The Dannies have their own gates over on the visitors side ... they have no problem in this regard as they both: 1) do not come in the same numbers or 2) with the same joy for the tailgate ... being Methodists and all.

Hasn't it been ten years since the last bell heist?  Somebody ought to get on that!

Will you be tailgating next Saturday?

Unfortunately, my friend, I will not.

Sadly, this will be the first Bell game I haven't attended in person since my junior year of high school.  I work weekends, which puts a bigtime whammy on my ability to attend football games.

What mere job can be more important than the Bell game?  Priorities, man, priorities! :D

Ehh, in this day and age you have to hang on to any employment you have. Trust me.

I'll probably try to catch a good portion of the 1st half at Moe & Johnny's in Broad Ripple before I leave for work.

It's hard for me because I work in TV.  Can't ever get off work.  24 hour news cycle blah blah blah.  Double can't ever get off work when we're in the November ratings book.   >:(

To anyone who gets Sports Time Ohio..........the Woo/ Oberlin will be broadcasted this week. The first replay is 10:30pm on Saturday night.

That was quick.  91-yard kickoff return for a TD for Wes Chamblee.  Nice.

7-0 Wabash leads Hiram with 14:45 left in the first quarter.

Hudson to Kimp on a swing pass for a TD...missed the yardage on that play.  14-0 Wabash with 11:09 to play in the first quarter.
