Seems a little harsh given Albion's schedule.  But, the trend has been way down since year 2 after "Ashabi" left for Northwood.

....who by the way is 4-0 and just knocked off D2 #9 Findlay as they attempt to qualify for the D2 tournament for a 2nd year in a row.

Yeah it's definitely unusual to see a guy get let go so quickly in a division 3 setting. Especially with the family ties, and him being an Albion HOF guy.

But the trend after year 2 was not good. And you wonder if the combined score against Hope of 125-0 in the last 2 years was maybe the nail in the coffin, in my 26 years of following the miaa that's never been Albion football. Also recall seeing they had single digit seniors this year, so it's possible recruiting/retention was a factor too.

Coach Beurer had things in a really good spot before his departure (and is showing he can carry that with him!) and that carried over for a bit, but that wasn't gonna last forever and it started to show.

Best of luck to Coach Wasil who I played against, and coached against as well. He's a long time program guy so hopefully he can right the ship.
