Of course. I get mixed up!  ;D
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

UWO Titan 78

I think this marks the 14th consecutive year that a WIAC representative has made it to at least the semi-finals. 11 for UWW and 3 for UWO, I believe. I think Mount has us by 10 years, but our road is usually tougher.  ;D

That's correct.  The img tags embedded the image.

Now I'll tell you something that will have you supporting the Johnnies clear to the Stagg.  If you click the "Preview" button instead of the "Post" button at the bottom of the page you'll be taken to an editing page that shows you all the tags you can insert into a post.  Superscripts, colors, moving text, bullet points.  The works.  Even the italicised text I used above.

And to seal your support for the Johnnies to win the whole shebang, if you click the mouse image with the red brackets around it then you can apply almost all the formatting options without even remembering the tags you need to type.

Thanks Oz, I have cut and paste your post. I will mess around with it. OK, I am now all over the Johnnies with full support (including obnoxious posts on their behalf) in any game they don't play UW-W.  To make up for the fact that I won't swing my support to the Johnnies when they play my beloved Warhawks, I'll make this offer.  If the Johnnies and Warhawks both win Saturday and the Johnnies come to the Perk and beat UW-W in the semi's, I will change my posting name from Bleedpurple to BleedJohnnieRed for one year. (I don't know if Pat allows something like that, but pending his permission)

I guess this turned out to be a safe bet  :)

I wouldn't classify it as "safe." One contested pass away from you having to change your name.

I have a feeling bleed knew the chances of MHB beating SJU was more than likely, so the bet would fail before the matchup would even occur.

He's savvy like that.

As usual will not give an inch. How would one "know" that? There was so little to go on. He might have thought, or sensed, or hoped, but know?

Would bad things happen to you if you ever gave St John;s any credit or praise, or acknowledge that they are in the Top 4 or 5 this year?

Top 4 or 5- come on, how could he know that?

No, I guess I didn't. To be fair I didn't congratulate Mount, MHB, or Brockport for being in the top 4 or 5 either this year.

I can't speak for bleed, I just assumed he made that bet knowing he had two outs. One being MHB beats SJU. And second being UWW beating SJU. I don't think it's any secret MHB was the favorite going into the SJU game. SJU was certainly capable of winning that game, and very well could have if it wasn't for a pass the QB wish he had back.

As far as knowing they're favorites in that game, one didn't have to look far. All six guys in d3football Quick Hits picked MHB, Massey and Hansen ratings had them winning, and even the MIAC board poll last week had the majority picking MHB. Yes, nobody knows for sure....but a betting man (like bleed?) can make a good guess.. Just like MHB will be favored this week... as they should be.

Would bad things happen to any SJU poster who didn't get his or her (I have to assume at least 2-3 of you are women) panties in a wad any time someone failed to adequately praise the Johnnies?

Agreed. I didn't "know" anything (I know, big surprise there).  And I wasn't banking on a UMHB win. I actually thought the Johnnies had a great shot to win (which turned out to be true). As much as i appreciate 02 saying I was savvy, that is probably overstated.

Truth be told:  I thought a potential UW-W/Johnnie week would be even more fun if I put my name on the line. Was I confident the Hawks would get it done at the Perk? Of course!!!  Did I "Know" that? Nope.

And let's face it, I didn't exactly put the life of my oldest son on the line or anything. I actually think it would have been funny to be saddled with "BleedJohnnieRed" for a year.  Just think of how well I could have represented St. John's on unsuspecting boards of other conferences! I would have been Oz 2.0!  ;)

Empire 8 Board:  You all suck at football. If you ever had the guts to play the Johnnies, you would probably give up football after we got through with you!

Yes.

I'll risk it.  St. John's is clearly in the top 4 this year.  They were "that close" to #3 last week!  ;)
