Wisconsin Whitewater 26 v UMHB 6 (final) a huge victory for UW-W especially at UMHB

65-0 win for UWRF over Belhaven.Thought it would be closer.Thought Walker said they were favored to win their conference. Know they were definitely out-sized. Blaha played only first couple of series in second half. He passed for 3 td's.Temperature "felt like" 96, according to announcers. Actual temp 91.

Boom!!!

Huge road upset. Hell yeah

The UWW game was one of the most complete games I've seen them play. Great execution of a game plan for a big road win.

#17 WARHAWKS rushing game (255yds/51 carries) controls the clock (37:50 vs 22.10 TOP) while the defense controls MHB's offense (246yds), including just 60yds rushing, to take down the 6/9 ranked Cru 26-6. Klinkner went 10/19 but three of the completions went for TDs and he had multiple late down runs that were critical in continuing possessions.

Not a single slant ;D  ;) (sorry couldn't help myself) but none the less an outstanding overall on both sides of the ball. Outside of their one TD, which was the result of a sustained drive of 70 yards or so, MHB never really threatened and had problems stopping our running attack.

Bring on the bye and then LaCrosse.

UWW played very efficient on offense; defense controlled the LOS. It helped Whitewater that UMHB didn't seem to have the explosive playmakers their roster usually is stacked with. UMHB needs better QB play.

Platteville wins their home opener over Springfield (Massachusetts) 28-12. After a scoreless 1st quarter Platteville scores 28 points in the 2nd quarter aided by a Springfield fumble on a kick off return. Platteville was moving the ball well but Springfield made adjustments and shut Platteville down in the 2nd half. Bothun led Platteville with 129 yards. Springfield out gained Platteville but their run originated offense was very time consuming. In the 3rd quarter their touchdown drive took 10 minutes off the clock. They completed 2 passes on 9 attempts.

Quote from: cubs on September 06, 2025, 07:24:06 PMWIAC opens play with a perfect 7-0 weekend, with La Crosse being lone team not to play. UWO with the most impressive win going out to Oregon and beating preseason #16 Linfield 31-14. Platteville also knocked off a preseason Top 25 team as they went on the road and destroyed #22 Aurora, 41-0.
WIAC follows up perfect Week #1 with a 6-2 record in Week #2, as UWO and Stout lost to a pair of Top 10 teams, North Central and Wartburg respectively.

UWO blocked a punt and the offense took over at the one yard line. They took a 7-0 lead shortly after that but it was ALL Nortb Central after that. Stout held Wartburg to 16 points but were unable to score at all in a 16-0 defeat.
WIAC goes a perfect 8-0 in Week #3 to improve to 21-2 during the non-conference slate. Whitewater with the most impressive win of the week as they knock off a Top 10 ranked Mary Hardin Baylor squad. La Crosse and UWO also had wins over a pair of D2 schools, though I wouldn't consider either quality wins.
2008-09 and 2012-13 WIAC Fantasy League Champion

Not a single slant? Perhaps not a single slant completed. First drive of game, second play, slant route to left side- dropped. Puts UWW behind the chains ending in punt.
Later, slant route to right side near goal line, receiver is tripped up when defender kicks leg up, preventing TD.
I'm sure even more were run.
The slant route is still the most effective route in football.

We have a different definition of what constitutes a slant.  But I concede you credit...two slant routes.  :D

Rough weekend for Texas football, Emma. First our Hawks beat down MHB in TX, then our Bears beat down the Cowboys.
