Raeburn is someone you might consider if he is interested.  He is currently in his 3rd season as HC at Gannon in Erie, PA.  During his time there, he has taken them from 1-3 in the Covid year, to 5-6, and this year to 8-3.  They were a woeful program for years in a tough PSAC that includes the PA state universities.  I knew him at Wabash; he is a terrific coach and a great guy.

The previous UWW AD past on him back in 2015. Wonder if he'll throw his hat in the ring again for the UWW job.

I got a chance to share a meal Coach Raeburn (along with quite a few others) when he visited Whitewater in 2015.  He really struck me as a good man.  He took the time to express condolences to me for the loss of my dad, who died a few months earlier.  I know his coaching record speaks for itself.  I have no trouble buying into the "great guy" part as well.

I was thinking the same thing, duffman, Bob Berezowitz put University of Wisconsin Whitewater on the map.
The Lance Lance Lance cult is a bit much.

Retired Old Rat

Um, six Division III National Championships and seven WIAC championships in eight seasons. National runner up once. I think he earned the admiration of the WW faithful.

Name a more successful football coach, outside maybe Larry Kehres, who had more success over an 8 year stretch. At any level, college or pro. Lance was 109-6!! He literally had the same amount of championships as overall losses during his D3 career. Think about that. Who else can claim that? He was 6-1 against Mount Union....He owned D3. Any and all talks about LL on this board will forever be warranted.

Yes, Berez put UWW on the map, but leipold catapulted them to the best team in the country from 2007-2014. And it wasn't even close.

I'll wait.....

Yea. This isn't really a cult. He was the absolute real deal.

Even PurpleSuit on twitter would probably tell you Lance owned D3 in those 8 years. And was probably thrilled to see him go.

I'm guessing he was the same PurpleSuit that was kicked off these boards. He was a POS on here.

I'm not questioning LL's complete dominance--don't lump me in with D O.C.  ;D

Yeah, but like, he just inherited a good team .... like ... could he have built something himself ... or like, ever won at all at the D1 level .... oh .... wait ....  :-X

I imagine Doc snickering in some small, dark room congratulating himself for rousing the ire of UWW fans. Weird people think that's fun.

It is true though that Brez, and Perkins before him, contributed massively to the foundation that LL added onto. I guess it's like a relay race- all legs are important but the last leg typically needs to be the fastest.

LL was the guy that kept Mount from having about 20 national championships, who knows what D3FB would look like if he wasn't around.  I can't stand him ;)
