I was afraid that wasn't going to end well for Berg after the botched PAT to keep the lead at 3 followed by the fumble inside the Etta 10 on the door step of the knockout blow TD.  After those two things happened I got that bad feeling that was setting the stage for Etta to sneak out a win at the end.  That slide on the scramble was indeed a huge mistake.

Yeah i thought it was over with that fumble, I was thinking Berg needed 6 there anyways as if they were held to 3, I could just see Marietta driving down for a game ending touchdown as time expires.  Quite the changed fortunes for the Berg in this game, as we had like 50 yards of offense in the first half, 1 of our 2 td's was a freebie, the other was a kickoff return.  And then in the second half the Etta offense just didnt seem the same.  Poorman is not a good passer though

That was the last Mount Union Game I attended in person.  :(

Well, at least you manned up and took responsibility.

If you search my past posts you'll see I've posted this before.  I was also there, in person, for the ONU loss at home and the UMHB loss at home during the playoffs.

Well, since I have never in my entire life attended a Mount Union football game I will take credit for all the wins and national championships.  So . . . . . . . . . we're even.

I will be attending the Berg Mount game on the 18th. My daughters friend chose Berg over Mount and I am meeting up with her. I told her every time Mount scores i am calling her out by name. I hope Mount puts up 70....oh and I am excited to see Bergs stadium. Never been there

That stadium is an oddity.  I'm sure most OAC fans would say it's too small.  Personally with the size of OAC crowds in Tiffin I think it's great.  Much better to have smaller capacity on campus IMO.  It's a nice facility.

That is phenomenal ... high-lite reel quality.

BW is "higher ranked" than UMHB.  Berea is printing up the gameday programs as we speak

Nice now, when I was there it was the Tiffin High School field, then it was let's just play on our turf field that has no bleachers  ;D

I like to imagine there was a day a lot of the OAC stadiums were packed right?  Like BW maybe in the 70s or something.  Seem like even High School football these days, way less people then there used to be

A small packed stadium is always better than a half empty oversized one. I think it's so annoying that the Stagg Bowl rotations have now featured massive venues that just don't make any sense. I was at the game in Annapolis, and while it was neat to see Navy's stadium, it didn't have the same energy as the games in Salem.

I find this attendance thing interesting, I've got a spreadsheet where I've been tracking home playoff attendance for Mount Union and I was able to find numbers going back to 2005. High water mark was 2015 semi final against UWW (6147) Low water mark was the quarter finals in 2018 against Muhlenberg (1157).

Ironically I was at both those games. I also think when I was a freshman in the fall of 04 the night game (home opener) against JCU had something like 7500 people. SRO, so I (probably incorrectly) recall.

D3fanboy

unfortunately, with the expanded playoffs pushing everything back a week.  I doubt that you'll ever see those large attendance numbers at Mount again.  Maybe if you got JCU in a round that isn't over Thanksgiving, maybe.  The UWW semi-final was something special

Even though it was the most lopsided loss I've seen UW-W take in 60 years, the atmosphere in the 2015 semi's was incredible.

And that's saying a lot considering the huge crowds UWW plays in front of! I think UWW vs UWL broke 20k IIRC
