Bethany put it all over Thiel. Great atmosphere today and everyone had a reason to actually watch the game.

To remind everyone, we only beat Thiel 17-12 last year.

No idea what will happen the rest of the season in terms of wins and losses but we have ourselves a ball coach and good football team.

I'm still not sure how good we are, but a lot of people sure are excited for the first time in a long time.

If you look back, I've been high on the Bison since Pat interviewed HC.

Next 3 games look tough Geneva, GC and W&J. But after that, I'd give Bethany a chance to win out.

I think that a lost onside kick should count as a turnover. So Spartans had five turnovers and won. Of course one of the Spartans two takeaways was Yordy's pick six that clinched the game.

So Mt Union last week and CWRU this week won with 5 turnovers and more yards offense.

Spartans could have been caught looking ahead to W&J, but instead they've given the Prez a whole lot of different looks to be concerned about.

Andy Kavcic must have gotten tired of everyone praising his brother and decide to make his mark. Seriously, he appears to have put some injuries behind him.

There are many variables that go into it.  Timing/situation being a big one.

But stats from Pro-Football-Reference show teams at a -3 turnover margin win 10-15%.  Teams with -4 or more win only 3-8%.

Not good odds, regardless of what happened in the GCC/Mount game or the Case/Shenadoah game.  Never said it never happened, I said it is rare and the stats back me up.

After watching the Allegheny/Waynesburg, if Allegheny can become more consistent with their O, they could be dangerous.  The D is good, the O has playmakers, but they were up and down in my opinion.

Last Saturday Heidelberg was intercepted 5 times by MtU and won by outgaining them 544-477.

After watching the Allegheny/Waynesburg, if Allegheny can become more consistent with their O, they could be dangerous.  The D is good, the O has playmakers, but they were up and down in my opinion.

Looking at the box score, seems to me the playmakers were all on D for Gators not O. 2 pick sixes and a scoop and score.

What playmakers does the O have? None made big plays against the Jackets.

Both teams were 4-4 in PAC in 2025. Allegheny beat W-burg 21-11 then. I don't see any evidence they are better than 2025.

Allegheny has a scheduling advantage only playing W&J, CWRU and Geneva among the top of PAC. Allegheny's 3 wins are over teams combined 2-4 not counting losses to Gators. With easier schedule could be 5-3 PAC

The defense is the stars, that is my point.  The playmaker on O was the WR, I forget number and name.  The qb is inconsistent, he will make a good throw followed by a bad throw.  The line was spotty.  If they can improve in those 2 spots, they might be able to give a scare to some teams.  As they stand rn, the are a middle of the road team.
