Between this and the depth chart being fudged I think Spencer is leaning a LITTLE too much into the subterfuge. /s

In the end NPI will let us know where we all stand just like last year. ;D

Kyle's a straight shooter, so I trust his two-deep. But I think it's understood by everybody who watched last week's game in Decatur that Green is on a short leash -- particularly because Elmhurst's defense has yet to demonstrate that it's anything more than a speed bump for opposing offenses.

Pretty good, actually.

WashU fans, is the broadcast always this far zoomed out for your games? Announcers are doing a good job though, calling a good game

Augustana 33
Millikin 6

None of the three remaining afternoon games, which are all in the fourth quarter, are close. We could be looking at all four CCIW day games ending as double-ups.

I brought up one of their games from last year on the "on demand" and it seemed zoomed in closer. Yes WashU announcer and NPU announcers do great job ;D Did I miss anyone?

Wheaton 61
Carroll 13

With 1:19 to go in the game, Wheaton had a 1st and 10 at the Carroll 16 while enjoying a 54-13 lead over the visiting Pioneers. Wheaton's backup QB threw a pass into the end zone that was caught for a touchdown. Why were the Orange and Blue throwing a pass into the end zone in that situation instead of taking a knee?

I think that was Wheaton's 3rd string QB. They started their backup. We finally hit a play late in 4rth Q with a 83 yd TD against their 3rd string D. I guess they wanted those points back...

Observations from NCC's win over WashU...

The caveat is that it was really hard to tell who any of the players were today because the camera was zoomed out so far.

The offensive line continued to struggle with opening consistent running lanes. A couple of long runs where McNeal and Ashiru made something happen out of nothing will inflate the numbers compared to how little traction they were getting on the ground throughout the game.

Wilson needs to take the checkdown sometimes. He threw three INTs on the day, and the last two were poor decisions, throwing deep into double coverage. He also took three sacks, two of which came when he had guys open in the flats but was only looking deep.

Starting safety Ethan Enriquez left the game injured and had to be carried off the field without putting any pressure on his leg. I'm guessing he's out for at least next week, if not longer.

Aiden Ellison is a weapon in the kicking game, hitting field goals from 47 and 49 yards out with room to spare.

The Little Brass Bell game is on tap, and I think it's going to come down to the very end.

I didn't catch why Wheaton's starting QB didn't play today. I'm guessing no issues as he was on the sideline, looked like ready to go. Maybe just resting for next week. I go into the game worried about WR's #4 and #11 and #18 has a career day (10 receptions, 125 yds).

Wheaton did have some turnovers, obviously want to avoid those next week.
