Irish7, agree with all of your predictions, roughly, save for CC vs. MU.  I think CC wins over MU, say 28-21.

It's snowing today in Bloomington/Normal, so let's hope things warm up a bit by game time here for EC @ IWU at 1 p.m. tomorrow.  Also, ISU has their Homecoming game at Hancock Stadium at 2 p.m.  A busy day in sports.

Wheaton scored easily on their first possession of the game and from there it was all WashU defense. -3 yds rushing and 11 QB sacks, knocking starter Curtis McWilliams out of the game with a low hit in the 2nd quarter. Wheaton Defense played really well but Wheaton's Jekyll and Hyde Oline play was the difference as WashU's defensive front controlled the game.

Big win for the Bears in St Louis.

Just a great overall effort by WashU, particularly on defense in holding a team as explosive as Wheaton to 10 points.
Wheaton starting QB McWilliams was knocked out of the game after going 14 of 18 with a TD. His sub, Furrow, went 14 for 25. Wheaton's rushing "offense" was so effectively held in check by WashU that they registered a net of minus 3 yards running the ball. The two WC QBs were under seemingly constant harassment by the home team's defenders throughout.
An impressive Bear down win.

No doubt the Washingtons will come in sky high off this afternoon's BIG win.
Should be a very entertaining battle.

Welcome to the CCIW top tier -- Wash U over Wheaton.

IWU wins 44-28.  Not as close as the score indicates.  EC with TDs in clean up time.   It was 30-7 at the half.

Big day for Morgan Alexander, going for over 200 yards, the TITANS finally getting the running game back on track.  Bauer with almost 300 in passing yards, so the TITANS approaching 600 yards total offense for the day.  Bauer had 3 TD passes, Alexander 2. 

Some breakdowns still in the secondary, some costly penalties, and poor coverage on one kick-off return in the 4th quarter.  Again, plenty of areas of needed improvement, the TITANS yet to put a full, complete game in O and D together. 

But, a win is a win.  5-0 in CCIW play, with two big road games upcoming, even before the home match-up with NCC in three weeks.  So, the real meat of the CCIW race now upcoming.  I may drive to  St. Louis to see if Wash U is for real.

Great job today TITANS.  One game at a time.  We'll take 5-0 at this point in the season.
