Anybody can beat anybody and if you don't bring your "A" game and discipline,  you are going to find yourself on the losing end.
Congrats to IWU on the win.  Hopefully Millikin can come back and cool off the Polar Bears (no pun intended) and Carthage can filet the muskies.

Definite congrats to the Titans... obviously I was listening to the IWU broadcasters, but it sounded like a total slaughter.

Millikin just scored again on ONU... it's 28 ONU, 14 Millikin... but the clock is winding down and this game should be over. A very respectable finish for the Big Blue.

overtime for wabash and franklin. cardiac kids are playing over there today. franklin downed the ball to position a kick w 9 seconds left but had no timeouts left.....refs gave them a 4th timeout and wabash blocked the fg. going to OT.

Millikin played it tough today.  They were going into the half down 7-0 and Ohio Northern broke a long 80 yard touchdown while running the clock out to make it 14-0.  Seems like a back breaking type of play.

augie was held to 127 yds rushing v BW. they gave up 10 4th quarter pts off turnovers and that was the difference in a very defensive game.

fightintitan, I'd be curious as to when you played with that tag line you have there.  In 2003, I wrote a letter to Norm and the team after just getting back from Iraq talking about things are never as good as they seem, and things are never as bad as they seem.

That was something that coach always told us, I don't really remember when I first heard it from him.  I was playing in '03 though and I do remember him telling us about you and reading part of your letter after practice one day.   

I don't know you personally and have never met you, but just from what he told us that day, you embody the true spirit of being a Titan.  You have all my respect and gratitude for serving our country.

Augie's passing game today for those keeping track at home...

13 attempts, 8 receptions, 62 yards.

That would be a completion percentage of 62 percent. Not bad! Augie's gonna throw more attempts in the non-conference season than they did all last year!

Augie actually had less TOs, generated 40 more yds of offense, and had the ball for 10 more minutes than BW.  That guy who fumbled the ball shortly after the Augie defense made a pick in front of their own endzone (the score was tied 7-7 at the time),  is going to be kicking himself for a long time.

Incidentally, 79jaybird, unless something changes, my plan is to catch the Redlands - Witworth game tonight at 7pm PST (wearing a Wheaton football shirt ), and I'll have to leave the house by 6 to make it there by kickoff. It's obviously not Wheaton, but football live is so much better than football on the radio, I don't care how good the broadcaster is.... sorry! Sooo... I may be able to catch the beginning of the game, but I'll be counting on you for a good summary!
