Gig Harbor Cat

I knew you would know that play Dee

Pirate Pride

Too bad the game isn't in Puyallup, I'd be there in a second.  Also...the Wildcats would know when a trick play would be coming because Scotty would start waiving his towel around to let the fans know something Lutey was going on (just like his pops did in '03 I believe)...reverse pass, double pass, qb throw back, just to name a few that I've seen over the years.  They have got to be ready for the "annexation of puerto rico" ala the Ice Box from Little Giants.  Can't believe I'm saying this...but Go Linfield

I've also seen the backwards lateral bounce pass and also remember Frosty running a reverse on 4th and goal from the one and PLU running back-to-back hook-n-ladders for TD's vs Willamette.

I think when PLU goes to the beach before the season they just draw this stuff up in the sand while playing "Ghost In The Graveyard".

I'd love to see the 'Cats pull this play against plu:

A high school football team pulls off an awesome trick play making their opponent look really really stupid. Theyll never fall for the old Wrong Ball Coach trick again.

Maybe the Cats can punt on third down!  ;D

Proud Papa Joe

Very small High School players.

No trick plays just smash mouth football.

Speedy and ppj:
I agree, those kids look more like pop warner age players, but the trick play was a good one.

Just wanted to break into the usual PLU-Linfield week banter with a couple of thoughts about Whitworth's game at Azusa.  It is an interesting match up.  As I review the Azusa scores over the last two seasons, I see a highly talented team that is capable of playing with almost anyone (losing by two at 1-AA #13 Nicholls State!), but still managing to lose the close ones.  The games they have won have been by larger margins.  I kind of wonder if this isn't a situation of the coaches figuring out a way to lose the game in spite of the talent.  My impression is that if Whitworth can keep the game close early, they will pull it out in the end.

Now back the regularly scheduled programming... :)

If Azusa has anything at all they should beet whitworth.

By looking at whitworth schedule they have beat three teams that are winless and one that had two wins. they lost to a 5-1 and won to a 5-1, combine team records is well below 500. Whitworth will win one maybe two more games.
