What a season. This team was special.

21-5 Final...

If Cootway isn't the Most Outstanding Player, I'd be shocked...  Two doubles, two triples, and four HR's in five games at the World Series.

Congrats Warhawks!  You could tell they had some unfinished business from last year and were on a mission once the Postseason rolled around.  One could argue that Whitewater was challenged more in the WIAC Tournament and Regionals than they were in Ohio this week?!?

Cootway was indeed the Most Outstanding Player as Whitewater puts eight players on the All Tournament team.

Such a thing as a team being on a hot streak, and then there's this.  Holy cow!

Congrats to the Warhawk players, coaches and fans on a well deserved national title.

Looks to me like the regional games between WIAC foes Oshkosh and Whitewater was the real title series.

As my kid was watching YouTube videos this weekend, he came across this... I'd guess this will only help recruiting efforts even more?

Now if I'm not mistaken, wan't UWO the first to do something like this with Alumni Stadium? I have no idea if they've poured any more resources into it since then, but if it's anything like the playing surface itself, I'm guessing not?

Former Whitewater pitcher Michael Hilker Jr. will be heading to Omaha in his first season pitching at the D1 level. After transferring to Arizona during the off-season, Hilker faced five UNC batters at Super Regionals, retiring all five including a pair of strikeouts. Hilker and his Arizona teammates knocked off the #5 seeded host Tarheels 2-1 in Super Regionals to punch their ticket to Omaha.
