McM's RHP Hunter Poe threw a complete game 5 hitter in the 2-1 victory over St Thomas yesterday.
Otherwise the McM pitching staff needs development.

Austin College with a big win in a competitive series at #25 TLU this weekend, right after TLU knocked off #1 Trinity. If AC can get more consistent pitching, their offense is good enough to potentially be disruptive in the new 6-team tournament format that's taking place this season.

The conference very balanced this. I will guess we may have 9 teams in contention fot making the playoffs with 2 weeks left.

Just FYI: this year the tournament is going to feature 6 teams. I believe it'll revert back to 4 next year, but this season it'll be the top 6.

I have just kept "one eye" on D3 baseball since my son's graduation, but I think this is the first time that I can remember not seeing Trinity in the top 25 over the past 15 years. I do like that Trinity is "back" in the the SAA, which is a former subset of the SCC, and will get to play a wider group of teams.

What's wild is that Trinity was ranked #1 only a few weeks ago. I saw the latest poll and was stunned that they're not in it at all at this point. (I haven't paid attention to their schedule so I didn't notice them losing a bunch or anything; just noticed the incredibly rapid fall from #1 to no longer ranked.)
