No OAC teams in the preseason top 25.  BW is sitting just outside at 27.  Mount is the only other team I saw receiving votes.

Unrelated, but I happened to be looking at Berg and Ott's roster/stats.  Both did not have great seasons last year and based on what they have back on paper they both probably need several guys to step up or have impact transfers/freshmen coming in.

Mount still has some good bats coming back but those pitching losses will be huge.  Like last year, BW is the team to beat.  They underperformed all year but were still able to get it done and win the OAC tourney.

Heidelberg was the biggest surprise to me last year but losing #1 Powers was a big hit.  Otterbein was really young and started multiple Freshman and they had several injuries..still would not have been one of the top teams though.  If they added some pitching, they should be improved.

No Freshman listed on Mount roster..waiting on Otterbein as usual.

Looks like Mount has 15 freshmen.  That's a very small class by their standards.  Maybe they went with a more targeted approach this year.  They do have 18 juniors which is a lot.  There are a lot of spots up for grabs.  The only thing that's probably set in stone is Tome catching and the OF is Ickes, Fox and Tsouras again this year.  After that?

We actually (possibly) get some OAC baseball this week.  Finally getting to be about that time.

Saturday
11:00 Mount @ R-M
12:00 Cap @ Asbury (DH)
1:00 Muskie @ Chatham (DH)
1:00 BW @ W&J
2:30 Mount @ Dickinson

I see the Freshman now..weren't there last week when I looked.  Still a good group to start with..need to see who steps up on the mound.

Muskingum game moved to Sunday and it's in Pittsburgh...ugghh.  It's been listed as Sunday all along on Chatham's schedule but Muskingum had it as Sat.

OAC website needs updated.  FLOSPORTS must have taken over that too and screwed it all up.

Also, Hetherington was removed from BW roster..saw him there when they first released it.  That stinks for them.

Saylor isn't on ONU roster either.

Looks like he's unfortunately out with a season-ending injury this year according to their preview.

Cap swept a 3 game set at Asbury hanging a total of 50 runs on them.  Cap can hit some, but what bit I watched yesterday Asbury's pitching did not look good.  I have not heard of them so I pulled up last year's pitching stats.  As a team 9.78 ERA, .335 BAA, more BB than K, give up over 1 HR/gm.  Results were on course at 7-28, 1-17.

Alfred St. got to serve as the opener for both Mount and BW yesterday at Grand Park.  Mount won 8-4 getting a strong start from Dennison (6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 10 K).  Tome went 3-4 with 2 3B.  Interestingly he played 2B with freshman Jake Jung starting at C.

BW pounded ASU 19-3.  Kolenich went 6-7 with 5 RBI including and 3 XBH.  Moscarino got the start and went 4 IP allowing 3 ER.  Kostura relieved him allowing a single base runner in 3 shutout IP.

Mount is playing a DH with Alfred St. today before heading back from Indy.  Last I saw they were up 12-0 in game 1.

Looks like Muskie @ Chatham is pushed to Tue.  I don't see any other OAC games today, but with the last minute changes I could be missing it.
