The guys at D3football.com have Bethel in pretty solidly—not even as a "last two in."

I think the divisional format is here for another season.

Interesting.

Don't they do the MIAC schedule in sets of two years - so if it's here for one more year, it's really here for at least two?

The championship game arguably gets Bethel a near lock at-large bid two years in a row now.  Not what I expected but obvious in retrospect.  I think it is here to stay.

Johnnies look to be fairly healthy going into the playoffs. Trost was fitted with two knee braces but did not return. Hopefully he recovers. Wozniak was being looked at on the sidelines near the end of the game. He jogged off the field with a few minutes left in the game with no shoes. He seemed to be running just fine so hopefully it's nothing. Injuries killed us last year so it's encouraging to be so healthy.

Yeah, I agree with you.  We're unusually healthy.  And it looked like that game today was pretty rough.  A lot of players getting help from the beginning to the end of the game.

The d3football.com boys have done wonders again and published their bracket.  They put SJU as the #2 team in the Linfield bracket.  And they put BU as the #4 team in the North Central bracket.

https://d3football.com/playoffs/2022/our-projected-bracket

Knock on wood they nail it again.

They make SJU's first round team as Lake Forest.  And they have Bethel hosting Aurora.

AO, your boys open up against North Central.  Gonna be difficult.

We're having our Thanksgiving dinner tonight so I have the Johnnie game on replay.  It's got the buffers in the replay.  How strange is that?  So they weren't keeping a copy off the onsite video but off the stream?  What kind of nonsense is that?  And the audio is about 30 seconds in front of the video.

This is a difficult mystery to debug.

SJU should get a new streaming partner.  YouTube, maybe.

Yeah, but once we get past them it's a cake walk to the Stagg.

Wozniak was being looked at on the sidelines near the end of the game.

On the post-game show, Gary said he cut his hand.  They tried to stitch him up on the sideline but were having problems.  He should be fine.

A tradition unrivaled...

Did the Hall kid that tried a suplex on Larson ever return to the game?

Agreed!

I'm really annoyed with the whole thing...if they're going to charge it has be a darn near perfect video stream. It costs $10...compare that to the basic $9.99 Netflix fee!

I watched part of the SJU basketball live stream last night which was free. They switched the main camera to other side of the court (student side) which took some getting used to but I'm fine with it.
They also still have a camera on the bench side and kept switching back and forth (too much IMO). Also they moved the on screen score and timer to the top of the screen and didn't have the court balanced in the frame...so at one end of the court you could only see the bottom third of the net for most of the first half. It was all really annoying. If i had paid for that i would have been pissed.

I don't recall Call being back on the field after that play. Stats point to his 2 tackles taking place on the first 2 plays. Seemed #27 Williams was on Larson for the rest of the afternoon.

Without admittedly knowing the severity of the injury, you're gonna taunt the kid?
Stay classy Faunchy. Very on brand  ;)

Congrats to SJU on the win and the title. Very complete game and you seem to be peaking at the perfect time.

Assuming Bethel gets in, here's to both teams being/staying healthy and getting to put their best foot forward as they look to make a run. The projected bracket makes a lot of sense, and could set up nicely for SJU.

First, huge thanks to AO for putting this on year after year. Everyone should throw some vitamin +K his way for the work he puts into this.

Watching the lines and playing the Pick 'Em contest keep me more plugged into the MIAC at large more than I ever have.

Second, thank you, Augsburg, for being damn-near perfect against the spread this year. I had to fight every reasonable bone in my body when picking Augsburg this weekend because eventually the law of averages has to work itself out.

Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Nice work Sag! ...A Johnnie drafting behind Augsburg for a football victory is one for the record books lol
