Sadly, I think the days of Post Patterns-style forums are coming to an end.  I met a lot of friends (some of you still have around here!) and connected with lots of opposing fans in the mid-2000s, but things have shifted elsewhere.

Lol. The ugly Cobber vs Ole Troll trophy made it onto ESPN Gameday!

Matt Jung is starting today for Wisconsin!

NBC honored this by saying he won the Small College defensive player of the year aware, out of Bethel College (KS)  :'(

Way to go guys!

Watching the UMHB/UWW game & the Cru's video feed has different angles. They showed the players in the tunnel walking out, footage from the field, & above. I'm hoping Hamline's feed isn't complete garbage!

Watched some from UMHB then flipped to watch Blaha at Bellhaven. Bellhaven runs a commercial for the school where a student starts with clay and spins a lovely pot.

But all I can think of is the headline: "Sophomore dies in kiln explosion."

Whitewater is smoking UMHB! 26-6 at the start of the 4th.

I hope it's not reddit. I find that place a cesspool, and have never posted once.

So is Olaf better than expected are the Cobbers cheap pretenders once again?

Hot Carl's steamrolled Mac with 606 yards of offense.  :o

Bet a dollar that MAC drops football within 5 years. Just a feeling I have .

The son of a guy I know took a college visit to Macalaster and was being recruited to play football there. Didn't sound like they were impressed. Ended up committing to Briar Cliff - a private Catholic NAIA school in Sioux City, IA that has only had a football program for like 20 years. He's getting playing time as a true freshman, though. Briar Cliff has been a doormat team of the Great Plains Athletic Conference since their program was founded. Their crosstown rival is Morningside who moved down from Division II.

First time since 1965 that St John's has started a season with back to back shutouts. That season it wasn't until the fifth game that we gave up points, ironically to Hamline. Went on to have 7 shutouts that season including one in the NAIA national championship game to secure an undefeated season and second NAIA championship.

How many times did SJU go unbalanced line today? I lost track at about 6.
Would love to see them run a toss sweep or bubble screen to Bohmert or Wheeler out of that formation  (reminiscent of Blake)

That's an interesting fun fact.

Went to Northfield to see the Cobbers at Oles. No offense from either. Abysmal officiating. Mediocrity abounding. Given what BU did to GAC today, I'd say the chasm between SJU/BU and the rest of the pack has never been wider.
