NBC honored this by saying he won the Small College defensive player of the year aware, out of Bethel College (KS)  :'(

Wisconsin should fire Fickell...but he's got a $40 buyout.

Quote from: faunch on Yesterday at 05:14:54 PMSo is Olaf better than expected are the Cobbers cheap pretenders once again?

Sadly, after watching this train wreck of a game, I'd say STO is same ole, same ole, and Cobbers have no offense. None.

QuoteShutting Out the Pipers
The 59-0 victory is the third consecutive shutout of Hamline. The Johnnies have out-scored the Pipers 294-12 in their last five meetings. A total of 23 of the teams' 89 meetings have been shutouts in favor of SJU.

Fickel's buyout is 80% of whatever remains on his contract at the time of his firing.  I'm assuming you mean $40M+ which is the most current figure (2024).

Yes I meant $40 million...that's what i saw the last time I googled it. It looks like it drops to about $25 million after this season. I don't believe they'll get rid of him.

Johns Hopkins dismantled Susquehanna. I had heard that Susquehanna's running back that we struggled to contain had been out, but thought he was due to return. Between that and how Whitewater manhandled UMHB, for me, those are the two most surprising outcomes of yesterday's slate.

For those Johnnie fans that have watched/listened to our first two games, does anything stand out that we need to clean up or improve upon before we face Bethel? Will be interesting to see if Augsburg presents a challenge whatsoever or if we can extend our shutout streak to 3.

Rahshan La Mons did play yesterday.

Hard to glean much from two double stomp-outs, and I think the only reason they won't stomp-out Auggie Tech is that it's homecoming and SJU will try to get everyone in the game.
