He's all good other than the pronunciation of Wisconsin. Residents of Wiscy notice this Wes-consin thing, which shows up occasionally. Most notably by Martin Sheen in the film "An American President" where he plays the Chief of Staff to Michael Douglas and both men are supposedly from Wisconsin and can't say the state name properly.

To add more praise onto what the Johnnies accomplished this season. Over their last 9 games, they played 4 unbeaten, ranked opponents (I'm including Bethel who we all know should have been ranked then) the Johnnies are 3 - 1, with their only loss coming to the #2 ranked team by 3 points in their house.

And for you WIAC fans, who I know and love. SJU and UWW have now played three common opponents, and the Johnnies have outperformed the Warhawks in 2 of the three. Next week will tell more of the story.

That's a matter of opinion, not fact. I think a good argument could be made that if the Johnnies had to play Bethel in the weather we had to play them in, they would have gotten beat.

I think a better argument can be made that the NCAA committee in all its wisdom scheduled the two best teams to meet in the quarter finals.

Umbh was very good at getting the turnovers. Couple less by SJU or UWW and it would have been a different game-gotta protect the ball and make smart passes.
Should be a good Stagg Bowl.

I was curious, so I checked it out. Since it's inception (1993) there has been 1 Jr selected for the award. Burke from Mount in 2013. The rest have been Seniors. The J-Club is stingy to underclassmen.

I was curious, too, and here's the Gagliardi Trophy panel.  I see 5 of 39 voters with SJU ties.

I included Austin Murphy since he spent a year with the Johnnies and wrote a book about it.

The A Man's Colgate squad tee's it up against NDSU Bison Saturday at noon.

Sure to be plenty of snot bubbles flying around.

They will fall woefully short up here tomorrow....The Bison are loaded and won't be tested until next week in the semis....Damn I wish SJU was playing at UWW tomorrow.

From what I've seen, I have to agree, Johnnies moved the ball very well against UMHB, UWW - not much.. Unless Hopkins is much better than they appeared from their regular season, and they did look good today, Last week had the best two teams in action in Belton.

The SJU - UMHB game may have been the best 2 teams from what I've seen today.

Agreed.  Unless UWW picks it up considerably in the 2nd half that would seem to be the case.
