Off the subject of football.
I saw some great fish photos from a guy wearing a St. John's t-shirt. He fished at Witch Bay Camp in Ontario. Beautiful Walleye, Pike and Musky.

Fun news out of Arden Hills, Bethel officially has lights on the field and will play a night game to kick off the season against Northwestern!

That's fun news!  Will be be nice for not just the football team, but other groups to be able to use the field and track for non-daylight hours.

I thought the original plan was for artificial turf for the practice field behind the visitors bleachers as well...is that still on the table, or just moved to a far back burner for now?

I haven't wrestled since the mid seventies, so the rules may have changed (like this might be Greco-Roman style) but it used to be that if you lifted your opponent off the mat, your knee had to be on the ground before your opponent hit the mat.

Good Lord, Emma. You are bringing a fishing post to the Minnesota board?

Next, you'll be talking Hamm's.  8-)  ;D

It's a moot point because this was a freestyle match where there is no such rule, but in folkstyle wrestling (i.e. high school and college), there's been a recent emphasis on preventing "slams".  I can't recall exactly how the rule is currently written, which reminds me that I should order a new rule book.
I actually recall an consolation semifinal match at the MSHSL State tournament last year that went to sudden victory overtime.  Wrestler A scored a takedown, which should have won him the match and put him in the 3rd place match, but the referee called him for a slam, which gave wrestler B a penalty point and the win.  It's an objective call, and there were a lot of boos from the crowd.

I initially thought this was a joke, and that the guy he was referencing was you Duff. Figured it was Emma being cheeky for a second.

I wish it were me!  We're heading to the BWCA soon with a buddy from SJU, so hopefully, I will have some pics to share.

Ah, the guy in the SJU shirt is Jason Good, an all-American DL for SJU in the early-2000s.  His dad, Perry, is/was a professional fisherman. Good people!

Looks like he could still put on the pads and run some people over.

Looks like Jason and Perry both got on the board .
