I guess I don't see your point, Chuck. Why even type in the word, with or without quotation marks?
"To see what is in front of one's nose is a constant struggle." -- George Orwell

Mr. Ypsi

Because I am celebrating, and because compared with two consecutive OT games, a 12-point win 'feels' like a blowout.

How literal-minded can you be? :o

Gregory Sager

I guess that this is my fault for trying to grope unaided through the labyrinthine pathways of the Ypsi mind. ;)

I told you to drop bread crumbs along the path! ;D

Something you won't see every day = Sexauer and Kman, 4-4 from treyland.  Bigs beyond the arc.

Tomorrow a war . . . gotta stay even, win the rebound battle, push the game towards IWU's desired pace and speed.

IWU was able to do that tonight vs. NCC.

iwu70

Greg, don't even try it . . . I can assure you that the Ypsi mind is "unique."

Ypsi and I will celebrate in our own uniquely green,  bizarre fashion, hopefully all the way to the DIII dance.  Stay tuned.

Should be a great battle tomorrow night, AC vs. our TITANS.

Just got back from Naperville.

Was a solid win against a freshman dominated, not expected to be here, hosting #1 seed, co-conference champion North Central team.

I am filing my tickets under "Sean Johnson didn't get shut out tonight and we won by 12"

I am certain it will be a tough, tough, tough match tomorrow night.

At least I am not driving to Rock Island and having to watch us play there.

Neutral court, it's really anybody's guess.

P.S. NCC had a special area for Cardinal Fans Only, they missed an opportunity to make some money, because there had to be out of towners who wanted to eat more than a hot dog at the game. I don't know what went on in their special fan area, but they could have charged me $12 for a decent sandwich and I would have paid it.

I hereby predict the Titans by a 'blowout'. ;D

(Warning to Greg: as IWU and Augie currently stand at 137-137 for the season - each team winning by 2 at home - a 'blowout' is defined as either team winning by 4 or more points - i.e. can't lose on the last possession! :D)

[If IWU wins by 8+, I reserve the right to call it a 'total blowout'! 8-)  If Augie wins by 8+ I'll still show up, but I'll be whimpering. :P]

And to all posters, remember: if Augie wins, we are a one-team league for the tourney.  If IWU wins, we are a two-team league.  Support your local conference! ;D

Proud of Ron Rose and the Titans for a nice road win tonight.  Good luck tomorrow night, Titans!

Tomorrow evening will be the 149th men's basketball meeting between Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana.  I wonder if any of those games have been played on a neutral court?

As opposed to the preseason number 4 ranked in the country Titans, who undoubtedly entered the season with LOFTY EXPECTATIONS given that they are a VETERAN DOMINATED team. But, who finished not tied for FIRST like the Cardinals, but in FOURTH PLACE, and who had to struggle to even make the conference tournament. The same team that when the current seniors entered 4 years ago, we were told multiple times would likely win the conference championship each of the next 4 years, contend for the national championship every year and, in fact, almost assuredly win at least 1 national crown if not more. The same team I'm betting that would love to switch places now with the Cardinals, have an 11-3 conference record rather than a truly "pedestrian" 9-5 mark, be the co-league champion rather than the FOURTH PLACE TEAM, and be HOSTING the conference tournament RATHER THAN DRIVING TO IT. You know, all those things that were EXPECTED of the Titans BUT THAT THEY FAILED TO ACHIEVE.  :)   :-[   :(
Nah, IWU doesn't want to switch places AndOne ... AndDone

Yes, aided groping may have made a difference.

Mrs. Y would take great umbrage at 'aided groping'.  Fortunately for all of you (and especially me ;)), Mrs. Y never visits this board! ;D

Disturbing.

Agreed. Too bad they don't make mind scrubbing solutions for certain thoughts.
