Indeed, Chapman hosts the title game, according to their game story from Saturday night.

Last week.

I had the LV game on one of my TVs very much improved, PP is going backwards. QB play is horrible, O line is equally as bad. LV played CMS super tough two weeks ago. Nice to see a squad of frosh and sophs improving.

Chapman and CMS had that one on too, I just don't get how UR plays so poorly against CU, but CMS can move the ball on them. A decent run game is an issue for CU. If CLU or UR can run the ball on CU, they have a chance in the championship game.

UR and the Regals, I cannot remember a UR team that can look good one series and the next looks like Whittier on their way out. Thank god for UR defense, the Regals qb got hot, but UR was able to fend them off. Why in the OT the Regals kept holding us in the endzone is beyond me, I like the isolation of our big WR in the endzone, in OT.
UR still only has a couple guys blocking for the run game. I think I would push footwork more than weight lifting in the off season. Proof of my point, CLU started 4 linemen over 300# and they were not 6'5". Their slow feet made it tough for the Regals to run the ball and QB was flushed almost every pass. I will take a 6' 260# guy with some quickness over these bodies we are seeing.

Got busy Saturday night watching baseball and neglected to check-in on the SCIAC games.  Looks like I missed a crazy night!!!  LaVerne has been knocking on the door the last few weeks (had a lead vs Pomona at halftime in the first meeting) and it's good to see them finally get that win.  Much like the NWC, the difference between the top of the SCIAC and bottom of SCIAC are not as far apart as they have been in recent times.  Things may separate again when teams aren't having to double up--they always say that it's hard to beat the same team twice, right?

Good for ULV! They've been close and finally broke the door down.

I'm shocked that Claremont was able to run the ball that effectively vs Chapman.

Assuming the tie-breaker is quarters lead in head-to-head, CLU controls their destiny and their game with CMS becomes a big deal. If they can get by the Stags you have to like their chances against a Pomona team that has been decimated by injuries in the 2nd part of the season. Stags also get Redlands the next week so a couple shots at playing spoiler. Bulldogs can't overlook what now seems to be an ascending ULV squad in what has the makings of a trap game.

Chapman has a few weeks to try to get their footing back after not looking particularly impressive in some close victories. Currently not feeling too optimistic about the SCIAC being anything other than a sacrificial lamb in the 1st round of the playoffs.

SCIAC champ is often the sacrificial lamb but I think this year they *could* get by a first round matchup against the  NWC champ.  We definitely aren't seeing a dominant team up north this year.

3 wins in a row for Redlands. Have to give credit where it's due in finding ways to win and it's always nice to beat Cal Lu in Thousand Oaks. Looking forward to this dumb round robin system being gone next season.

I personally like the POD system... It keeps teams in the hunt longer. I hope they keep it once Whittier and APU get introduced into the league next year.  If the league decides to go back to the old structure, Chapman would have already won the conference based off of this season with the games played/remaining schedule.
