The Liberty League is also expected to approve membership for Bard.

what is "Bard"?

assume your joking if not google bard college....

actually no, I had never heard of Bard until i read your reply, figured I must be stupid and googled it....so now is it safe to assume that it was actually PC who was joking about his statement that LL was approving their app.???

I didn't know what the heck Bard was either...

I don't joke on Twitter. That's news only.

Bard's a good school.  In fact I just looked it up and its ranked 37th on the national liberal arts ranking, five spots ahead of Union and ten ahead of Skidmore (also ahead of Connecticut College, Franklin and Marshall and Dickinson).

My brother in law dropped out of there after too much boozing (probably being in a crappy location had something to do with it) many years ago and ended up graduating from Cal Berkeley.  He's not too into football or basketball (does love baseball), so JU's call on the non-sporting types is pretty spot on.

The LL probably wanted Vassar to have one team that they might have a chance against as well.  Im not really interested in looking it up, but I can only imagine what Vassars league record is in all their sports.  Im going to guess its less than 30%.

That's because they didn't win their petition to include body art and piercing as a varsity sport in the league.

Seriously, a bunch of freaks there.  I knew one of the most plain, nice girls you'd ever meet in high school who came back from her first semester there with an eye ring and purple hair.

Imagine a social mixer between Vassar and Cortland?  The possibilities are endless.

Pep has a fever and the only prescription is the start of football season....and a little more cowbell!

Christian Zemaitis, the brother of Tampa Bay Buccaneer CB Alan Zemaitis, will be attending SJF this fall.  The 5-11, 205lb Spencerport graduate is a 1,000+yd rusher on a horrible team (1-7).  Is a good athlete that ran a 11.0, 100 meter and threw 45+ feet in the shot in track this past spring.

Hopefully he's not soft, brittle and miniature like last years RB's...

Same here, I was really hoping for the Bills to take Alan when he came out...

Zemaitis apparently is now with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL...

Not a Buc's fan, he was just drafted a few seasons ago.

Thanks for the heads up Pep!

Here's a great story on Zemaitis, written by a Penn State student newspaper, that recaps the auto accident and Alan's grasp on what matters the most in life:

http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2004/10/10-09-04cm/10-09-04dsports-03.asp

Zemaitis is quoted in the article as saying his younger brother Christian, who was 13 at the time of Alan's accident, would be a better football player than himself. It appears SJF has a solid recruit in the Zemaitis kid.
