Pep has earned his keep on the boards, but geez Pep...would you have been terribly disappointed with the stands AND a win?

I agree the stands suck, but it is not like they did it on purpose.  You should remember that when I played....THOSE STANDS were the ones that my parents (as the home fans) had to sit in.  There were no portapotties, no concessions, no turf, no lights, a very simple scoreboard and no E8PP for visiting teams' fans to complain on the next morn after their team lost...

I went on a recruiting trip in 96 and their lack of facilities was a huge reason why I decided not to go there....I bounced around a couple years at JUCO's/NAIA schools and wound up back at fisher because of their facilities.  They have came a LONG way and they are still building there so I bet the Staduim is apart of their plans.  Be patient Pep, be patient....

82 - sorry i missed you---ended up pacing the sidelines the whole game!
good luck with the twins!!

FA91 you weren't by any chance the guy I was trying to get to chant ECAC's were you?

boobyhasgameyo

and it was only in response to the Alfred fans being rowdy, wouldn't do that out of the blue

fisheralum91

doubt it booby- i wasnt in one place too long to chat with anybody but a few other guys that pace the sidelines.
had fun though!!

Wanted to say good luck to 'Wick, SJF...and hopefully Ithaca in the NCAA's.  I think it would be great to see 3 teams from the E8 in the NCAA's...and two teams in the regional final.  Alfred good luck in the ECAC's as well.

Seconded, as long as all three are in (hopefully), best of luck to all. Represent the E8 Nation well!

Good morning gentlemen!

You guys are up early....and in some cases were on here pretty late!

Congrats to Hartwick and Fisher.....co CHAMPS!

Surprised and hopeful about Pat & Gordon's predictions for the playoffs...

Amazing how far the E8 has come in the last four years.....

Coach Carr.....s/b Coach of the Year.....amazing job this season in BIG games....!

booby......tellin' it the way he sees it......

cjdel10,

I don't think Widener is better than Ithaca at all, they did "straight up" run the table in their conference, but I would say it's a pretty down year for the MAC. Also they were absolutely destroyed by Wesley and a sub par Rowan team. They only won one conference game by more than a touchdown which does not display dominance and on the season they are averaging 18.3 points on offense but giving up 18.9 on defense. I just don't see how with those kind of numbers you can say so defiantly that Widener is much better than Ithaca who has been absolutely blowing out teams since their week 4 loss to Fisher

Before, I didn't think Ithaca had a shot to make it.  Now, I ALMOST don't know how they can't.  Assuming you take a look at 2nd place teams first for the Pool C Bids:

Empire 8: SJF (co-champs, 9-1 record, ranked in the top 10...no brainer to the NCAA's)
Liberty League: Hobart (co-champs, 8-2 record, two close losses to teams with a combined record of 17-3...no brainer to the NCAA's)
NJAC: Cortland State (7-3 overall record, 2nd in NJAC, lost BIG to Ithaca last week...no way they make it over Ithaca) and Montclair (8-2 overall, 3rd in NJAC, has a big one over a 9-1 Wesley team...but two losses to Cortland, badly, and TCNJ...they may make it over Ithaca)
MAC: Albright (7-3, lost last two games...can't see them making it over Ithaca)
NEFC: Plymouth State (8-1...2nd place in NEFC...it would be a crime to see them make it over Ithaca)

With 3 Pool C's on the line, assuming SJF and Hobart get two of them, it looks to me as if it comes down to Montclair and Ithaca...and if you look at common opponents (Springfield, both won, and Cortland, who Ithaca destoyed and Montclair lost badly to), you would have to go with Ithaca.  Unless the NCAA's lose their mind and goes with Plymouth, I say the last spot belongs to Ithaca.

I feel the same way. I did not think that IC had a chance two weeks ago, but now I think they are almost a lock. The NCAA could go out of region to bring another, more deserving, team into the tourny. But, I don't know who would make sense, and I don't think it will happen.

Good for the Empire 8, having three teams with a real legit argument to get into the dance.
GO FISHER!!!

Congrats to SJF and Wick first off.
Wick- amazing that you came outta no where to win the E8 championship.  sounds weird just typing that.  70 pts though?
SJF- I'd love to see you in the Stagg bowl which is an hour and a half from my house.

On the game yesterday-  Everything i've heard has led me to believe that it was a miracle that a riot didn't break out there between the fans.  My dad went to the game and was left with 2 major impressions.  First thing he had to mention- Stepnick.  Said the kid was great on returns and made a habit of killing us with field position.  Kudos to you.  I love when a special teams player can control and/or significantly alter a game.  Just wish it was for us, not against us.
Second, my father was adamant that he saw the "silly goat".  He said he was obnoxiously drunk and screaming stupid things the entire game.  Thirty years ago he woulda knocked him out.  Yet you cannot allow one or two idiots to represent the whole of AU or any other school.

Conversation between goat and girlfriend:
Hey goat!  You on that pickup truck.
Yes, just sitting on the pickup truck, tied to it as usual with this f@%ing rope.

I hope IC gets in and SJF v. IC II goes down.

Agreed. It's ok to be fired up, and even to say some stupid things while drunk... but seriously, have a little class.

Less than an hour gents...

I didnt like the "fisher reject" chants directed at Keeley by the student section....

Somehow that prompted a group of AU students to chant "Alfred Reject", what that means I dont know.  Maybe they should stick to pottery classes.....
