Alfred and SJF would be great additions to the LL while shipping Buff St and Hilbert to the E8. Done, let's do it. LOL

Mach, I put the LL Commissioner on speed dial and will harass him until its done ;)

As far as the RPI-Hobart matchup, this week's Hobart Football podcast with Coach DeWall sure gives much respect to the Engineers. If you read in between the lines, I think DeWall feels RPI might be better than Ithaca and is a well balanced, well coached team. Sure glad it is a home game and is an Orange out( just like the Penn State white outs ;D ). Looking forward to a typical hard nosed RPI-Hobart game tomorrow with an old LL rival.

Ithaca - 28
Rochester - 6
IC wins handily. I expected and hoped for much more from Rochester last week and it just wasn't there. I don't think it will be this week either against a good football team in Ithaca.

RPI - 17
Hobart - 13
Again, I think since getting absolutely rocked by Hobart RI got this team focused and driven. Hobart just can't do enough on O and when they do...they drop game tying passes. Tons of respect here for both programs but RPI needs this to show they are a real front runner for the LL title.

The Team We Wish Was Alfred/SJF - 3
St. Lawrence - 34

Union - 42
Buff St - 9
If Union's offense keeps up what it started last week they'll score over 40 and play multiple QB's and RB's in the process. This IS NOT to say Union is that good but Buffalo St is just struggling. Honestly I REALLY WANT to see Buffalo State compete. Still remember and love their W over Whitewater.

I'll agree that this is a down LL and one that may not even get an NCAA win this season. We shall see.

I'm down. Alfred is a traditional rival of many of the LL teams anyway (especially Ithaca), and the SJF/Hilbert swap, geographically, would be a wash.

Good god, Rochester could not have handled the last two minutes of that game any worse.  First down at the IC 15 with 2 minutes to go.  They waste 90 seconds with three runs and dink passes and then struggle to get a fourth down play off as the clock runs out.  Just atrocious.  Coach just can't do that to a team on the verge of a historic upset.

Based on the results so far today, seems like RPI is the clear league favorite, without much separation behind them between Hobart, Ithaca, and UofR.  We won't really know where Union stands until next week.

Ithaca survives at Fauver but yyyeeeeessshh they were fortunate to do so.

Agreed with the Union dude.

Ithaca gifted them short fields all day with fumbles, penalties, and whatever the final 4th down call was, and they simply couldn't score.

I said after the IC/Hobart rockfight that if this was indeed the Top 2 teams in the conference, the conference was in trouble. IC didn't do much to change my mind, but at least RPI is stepping up.

RPI/Ithaca is week 9 and RPI/Union is week 10. Looks like that's gonna decide everything

I didn't watch the game: Were they out of timeouts? Because burning off a bunch of time in that scenario is a pretty sound strategy, assuming you're actually executing offensively. Running 3 plays to gain 1 yard and leave yourself a 4th and 9...not so much.

Congrats to RPI on the win today, they are best team in the LL. Hobart urinated all over themselves today.Although they were fairly even in Total yards, 3 turnovers, a blocked punt, and giving RPI 3 first downs on critical penalties was a killer. The worst game I've seen them play in many years as far as self inflicted pain and RPI did what a good team does by taking  full advantage. Also, many injures today that will deplete the depth chart and risk further losses. We have to win out to be 5-2 in the league and 6-4 on the season. Good luck to the rest of the LL who haven't lost a game yet, at least you have a shot. So much for being picked to win the league again.

They had one TO, which they burned after second down because they get couldn't the third down play in on time. Taking their time would have made sense, they just went WAY too slow for an offense that averaged 3.2 yards on the day. Should have taken four shots at the end zone and hoped for the best on D.

I have to say, I am kind of surprised the UW schools haven't taken a shot at the D3 all-time attendance record. I think there's just such a bigger buzz around WIAC football, and obviously, with bigger student bodies — and, as it follows, bigger alumni bases — you've simply got a bigger audience. If Cortacaa can draw 45,161, I feel like a WIAC battle could cleaar 50,000 easily.

I would love to see an attempt. People talk about Camp Randall Stadium in Madison and it is centrally located but I think the Brewers' stadium would be cool and the marketing weight of an MLB club certainly helps in these endeavors.

Thank you for being so gracious.

Yesterday was only the 13th time RPI has ever won a game in Geneva covering 115 years. The only other one of the 13 that could even be considered a rout was 33 years ago, a 28-0 RPI win in 1992. There have been far more than two trashings done by Hobart in Troy.

In addition, you do have yet another virtually guaranteed stellar hockey season coming up in less than a month to enjoy. We don't nor do I know anyone really looking forward to what starts just five days from now.

In fact, I am probably looking forward more to enjoying watching your hockey season online (with one in person viewing in January at nearby Saratoga Springs) than I am looking forward to watching my own season!!!. In addition, a few of us are even considering taking a group trip to Utica for the D3 championship game in March should Hobert make it that far yet again as this year the game is being played in a real arena. Excellence is not very hard to sell when organizing a trip.
