gro spent sunday at Lake Lure in NC. beer, boats, booze, birthday, beets, bears.... huge-mungous lake houses if anyone wants to retire to the middle of nowhere.  small pontoon boat, no tubing just floating and drinking (and swiming you rat bastards... thank god for wacky noodles)

Gro was told that this was the lake they filmed dirty dancing... LD has probably seen that movie 1000 times but never saw iron eagle. heeeerb.

Gro,
I bet you spend alot of time in the water keeping yourself and others around "warm" seeing that a pontoon has no facilities.

Made it back from the Indy 500. What a trip.

Hard to explain other than roll together the Superbowl-Mardi Gras-State Fair-Stiftungfestivities-Times Square on New Years Eve and Woodstock and a monster race track and you somehow might get the drift.

Highlight: Got to meet A.J. Foyt and Mario Andretti while roaming around the garage area on Saturday. And the race itself. Unbelievable sights.

Lowlight: After the race, back at the hotel we asked the concierge where was a close by sports bar so we could eat and watch the Cup race. He sent us to the Ram a half block away. It was fine.
However, walking back to the hotel we noticed there was a Hooters a half block the other direction.  :-[

Most Bizarre Thing: Police escorts to the track. Lights going, sirens blaring. One cop car led the 2 buses while the other would block the intersection and then race up to the next. Our corporate group consisted of about 24 people. We used a suite at the track for 80. We went  to the track 3 times via 2 coach buses. 12 people per bus. We had room for 100.  ???

Story from the MIAC board in the West Region.  "The Ram" sounds like some bar that you guys were talking about recently...

Greetings my LLPP brothas from another motha...

GRO: Nice to know the Host was thinking of you with the "noodles".  Did you get a sunburn??

REG: Interesting...Did you make new friends? Was it primarily MILFs or young professionals?  BTW: you trust MR driving your boat??  I hope this was your last resort...Is the LLPP gonna have to revoke your Head of Household card?

TDT is heading to Vegas in July.  I have to believe it is approximately 147 degrees everyday in the summer.  Anybody been in the dog days of summa?

Unless they have free wireless internet in prison or BAC meters stop working at over .035, I think letting MR drive was a pretty good choice.  She only needs a little help docking.

We met a bunch of nice people ranging from younger working professionals like us to hair stylists, to middle aged people that just want to party.  Usually there are a couple of them rafted up on any given weekend, this gave us a chance to meet them all and gain "blender access" anytime we see them over there.

Man could some of those cats party.

Reg, I feel you.  I let WTFF drive my car this weekend.  TDT, get off his nuts.  It's probably cheaper to ding the boat on the dock than get bagged by the Po Po.

TGP just ate 3 left over beer brats for lunch.

Will someone from the LLPP contact a cardiologist ASAP?!?!??

TGP will now be asleep under his desk for the next 2 hours.

JT handed the keys to FMJT too.  JT doesn't play that game anymore.

Meanwhile JT been watching the webcast of the DIII Baseball Natl Championship in between making powerpoint slides.  Great game so far Kean 4 Emory 4  bottom of 10.  If Kean wins they take their 1st title.  If Emory wins, they force one more game.

my bad. a combination of never having my phone on me and/or being hammered and/or being out of service.  When I did get the messages they made me feel all warm and tingly in my underoos.

REGulator: Always a good decision when in doubt to grab a cab or let others do the driving.  TDT was just sweating you per is usual, but you obviously made a solid choice.  TDT has buds that have Ddubbs and they are clearly no bouquet of flowers.  Especially when .08 is not too much (few cocktails or 3-4 MLs) and most of us "feel" we could drive safely with that BAC.

JT: Emory is in Hotlanta, correct??  But where is Kean?

Emory is Atl.  Kean is Union, NJ and in the NJAC.  Kean takes it 5-4 bottom of 10.  Of the 31 DIII Baseball titles given out since 1976, the NJAC has 9.

PBR...

good for kean....pbr has a friend who played wr for them back in the late 80s
