that is strange...especially the comparison to Men's Hockey.  The two teams should play virtually identical schedules so it shouldn't be travel that hikes the $$ up.  A lot of the Mid West teams have huge travel budgets because of roadtrips to Colorado, Alaska, etc.

I was suprised about the travel as well...I assumed that type of money would represnt travel.  However, they may mostly be bus trips but there are overnights on all of those weekends as they either play a 2 game weekend series or double up local opponents.  Harvard/Brown one weekend, Clarkson/St Lawrence one weekend, Cornell/Colgate, etc.

Either way, I am shocked that the budget is that high.

LD....pbr's friends are rippin' it today some nice head high's as this Low pressure system pulls away...they called pbr to let me know they'll be the ones on the cam as pbr sits here pounding away with the chain gang making big rocks into little rocks... any waves in NC today? (sometimes it takes about 10 secs for the cam to load in your browser)

Who cares how much it costs....for my money, nothing beats women's hockey (if you can even get a ticket).

We should plan on all attending the ladies Union/RPI game in Schenectady this Winter....'Ladies Skatapalooza' anyone??
