JU likes republicans more than democrats.  If I were having a party, I would rather have the FoxNews people there than the MSNBC people.  Way more fun I think.  But I did see this quote from JT:

" Big government and government solutions never work.  Politicians screwed up social security, medicare, etc. "

And seeing that SS and medicare are big government programs, only big government people can fix them.  I don't see any of the current big three doing any of this...

Tags has finally figured it out ...

PG's real name is Chris Matthews!

PG can't talk that fast.  In General, PG has decided he can't be classified as a conservative or liberal.  Any political quiz PG takes always classifies him as a libertarian.  Who would have thought??

KS thinks most people that take a political quiz would probably end up closer the the libertarians than either the Dems of GOP.  Most Americans are neither left wing nor right wing but somewhere in the middle maybe leaning to the left or right.

KS has had a real sh!@#y week.  First the news about Willy and today a local yokel cop from a township near where KS grew up pulled KS over and gave him a ticket for doing 56 in a 35 when KS had his cruise control set on 40.  KS decided not to argue with Deputy Fife but will go to court on this one.  Funny how the cop picked a speed that would get the maximum fine.  KS also needs to find out if his friend Pam from HS is still the chief of police in that township.

Gee whiz, The Rev didn't realize what kind of frustration he was tapping into when he posted last night.

Regarding aviation pet peeves:

1.  The Rev used to think he liked children.  Having flown trans-con four times in the past week, The Rev is not a fan of kids.

1A. The Rev IS a fan of earplugs.  Everytime The Rev heard kids starting to fuss, he popped in earplugs.  At one point, The Rev looked the mom dead in the eyes when she wouldn't control her child, and without batting an eyelash The Rev held the earplugs in his hand, rolled them up and put them in his ears.  The mom looked like I had just told her, "You are a bad parent for not controlling your child."  Which is exactly the message The Rev meant to convey.

2.  Arab guy took The Rev's seat on plane.  It was in order to sit together with his kid.  The Rev's response: no problem, and took Arab guy's seat in return.  Unfortunately Arab was making furtive motions during flight and as soon as the plane was parked he pushed himself ahead of the Rev, got all figgity, and tried to push his way past the crowd in the aisle.  The Rev, who has no problem with Arabs, but severe problems with people crowding lines said, "Habibi..." ["brother..."] and made a calm your ass down motion.  The Arab, having been addressed in Arabic, stopped dead in his tracks and calmed his ass down.

3.  The Rev wonders how people who are so stupid that they can't even find their seat while boarding planes can hold a job that pays well enough to afford to fly.  DAMN YOU SOUTHWEST AIRLINES!!!

The good news is that The Rev now has another very good option for flying back East for a Hobart football game next fall.

Hey TGP, let's plan a flight from LAX to SYR or Albany for the RPI or Union game in the fall.  I can take a United Express from Yuma to LAX, and then we can trans-con together.  Just don't bring your kids, or else I'll have to pack extra earlplugs.  ;D

JT doesn't watch the Fox News Channel but its a rare outlet compared to all lib stuff.   Truth never comes from the far right or far left. Pick almost any other media and it has left wing... sometimes far left wing overtones and undertones: NY Times, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, Time Magazine, Chris Matthews, Tim Russert, and the vast majority of academia.

JT just listens to what a politician says and what he or does.  JT is just a simple conservative.  Anything that strays from smaller government, less taxes, and the what constitution says, JT opposes.  Its a formula that works.  Big government and government solutions never work.  Politicians screwed up social security, medicare, etc.  They'll screw up the next big program(s) too.

Oddly, PG agrees with everything you said.  The key is that government becoming bigger is never a good thing.

Ah I see.  We aren't too far apart.  Perhaps you really dislike Bush.  Then blame Bush, not all conservatives. Republicans tend to be conservatives, but a quite few Dems sneak in there.  Unfortunately, none of these type of Dems represent anywhere near JT.

JT's problem with Bush is he's a big spend Republican who supported Amnesty for illegal immigrants.  As far as the war.  Proof yet again that you can't let politicians run a war.  Once they listened to the professional soldiers, we've been kicking Al Queda's ass.  Should have happened in year one, not year five.  But we are killing the enemy over there, not over here.

The pentagon and others CIA etc have been preparing a scenario to go back into Iraq since 1991.  After 9/11, the reasons to go war would have been sold to Gore or Kerry too.  Given what those two said about weapons of mass destruction back in day, those two men would have sent troops to Iraq also.

I'm not a big fan of politics one way or the other...but my one big stance which is why I like McCain...is that we are over their now and we can't pull out...and P.S. to all those people who say bring our troops back now and they shouldn't be over there...what the hell are we paying them to do...these soldier choose to protect our country and I sure as hell respect their choice and have their back 100 percent and pray for them everyday...but let them do their job

You are right, I am not a fan of Bush's.  As for the 2008 race, none of the 3 frontrunners seem to appeal to me at all, so It's going to end up a tough choice.  I guess whoever can persuade me in the next several months will get my vote.

My hope is that the reason people would be against him are purely political.   I've seen some ridiculous e-mails about him in attempt to stir the pot

My objections to Obama are purely political.  He's a socialist. His mentors are proponents of re-distribution of wealth.  Obama beats even Ted Kennedy with the most liberal voting record in the senate.

Don't take my money and give it away.  I am more than willing to work with or on charities myself.  I believe most successful people will do good things with their money, if left to their own devises.

Question for the engineers of LLPP.  It is one of the strangest things about JT's new home.  JT's aware of frequencies.  Here's what happens.  The house has three floors with the washer and dryer in the basement.  JT has his gym and office on the 3rd floor.  When the washer runs the third floor will shake a little, however neither the second floor or basement shakes.

Could the washer be agitating at a frequency that makes the 3rd floor shake? The washer is level and shakes no more than any other washer JT has used.

Nodes... it's got to be the nodes  (the 3rd floor is apparently not one)

PG, it seems like you are always the conspiracy theorist when it comes to this type stuff.  Are you insinuating that people here on LLPP would not vote for Obama because he's African-American??  If so, U89 is honestly offended.

If you're going to make an accusation, say it....don't beat around the bush!!!
