Tough luck for the Susquehanna kids...really hoped they got to the finals vs. the Lady Royals & were able to earn a bid.
Who knows...maybe they'll still catch a break...5% > 0.  ;)

Looked at the new NPI and Susquehanna is 22 out of the  21 they take, just right behind St Marys by like .200. Some teams in the NPI (21) at large have 11, 9 , 8,7 losses. That totally sucks if Susquehanna with a record of 21-5 gets left out.

It almost seems like we're taking Lady Royal victories for granted.
I mean they are truly taking care of business each time they hit the court & making it look easy which it certainly isn't.
Catholic is not a push over by any means yet the ladies took care of them by: 30, 38, & 38 again last night.
All the best on Sat. afternoon even though the game should be played later so it's not competing with about 6 other teams playing at the same time. ::)

Definitely don't want to take anything for granted but they are SMASHING good teams. Susquehanna, Catholic, and Elizabethtown are all top 50/60 teams and Scranton is winning by 30+!

River falls 16-11 ranked 12 in the at large category.

scottiedawg

yep.

UW-River Falls
11 losses

#1 SOS Rank

River Falls has 10 wins against NPI top 65 opponents. Susquehanna has 4.

I think demonstrated ability to beat top teams is a great thing to reward.

5 games over 500. What is next a Wiac team or UAA that goes 13-12.

Sounds like you've got your mind made up about the best way to value teams!

Yes common sense works. When you dig into a team 16 -11 the only reason they have a strong sos or npi is because of league . They went 7-4 against non conference play and  9-7 against league play The 11 non conference games that they won Calvin 16-10, Central 12-14, Minnesota Morris 12-14 , St Catherine 10-15, Carthage 15-11, Edgewood 12-14 that is 7 wins non conference losses Hope 22-3, Concordia Moorehead 23-3 Gustavus Adolphus 18-8 and Bethel 21-6 . No quality wins in non conference. Like I saidthat use to matter. Conference play like every league- plays twice home and away ! Go with Wins and losses Stout(1-1) 13-12,Eau Claire(2 wins ) 13-12,Stevens Point(2 wins) 15-11, Platteville (3 wins )18-8, Whitewater 1-1(19-8), LaCrosse( 2 losses) 17-9 and the big dawg Oshkosh( 3 loses) 24-2.It is not that you can't change my mind!I just think humans should sit in on a call like this. I have followed one team for 45 years and alot is changing I get it, But to me this computer thing is rewarding  a team like River Falls at 16-11    that picked up because of their schedule . So what this computer system is doing is say okay we will take 5 from Wiac , 5 From UAA but because the Landmark has weak teams to bad because Susquehanna went 21-5 lost twice to the number 2 team in the country, Catholic and ETown. IT hurts teams like that ...

No: but if we all thought alike we would be one minded. It is great to have different views or minds. CALLED AN OPINION

Just watched the SUNY New Paltz vs. SUNY Plattsburgh game.
What an ending!
Plattsburgh scores to go up 1 with about 16 seconds left.
New Paltz takes a shot with about 4 ticks left & it misses.
A scrum ensues & instead of a jump ball, the ref gives the ball back to New Paltz saying a TO was called.
That's fine but there was no one in possession of the ball at the time.
At any rate, that's the call.
They inbound and throw up a prayer...it misses but guess what, now a foul was called & there is only 0.1 second left in the game.
The New Paltz player calmly makes both to put them up 1 with the aforementioned 0.1 second remaining.
Plattsburgh's coach takes 2 time outs to set up their last play.
A perfect pass, 3 perfect screens & 1 beautiful catch & shoot that clearly goes in before the lights go on.
Plattsburgh celebrates, New Paltz is crushed but the refs have 1 more surprise.
Upon review...they rule the shot left her hand after the buzzer.
I've watched the replay 15 times & every time I see the ball is out of her hand prior to the buzzer.
For any of you that have the ability to check it out, just advance to the final minute of the game & see for yourself.
I'd be interested in knowing if others see the final play the same way.
What a win.
What a loss.
What a bad call.

The thing about this! They will still have their job and those kids that busted their arse for 40 minutes don't get to play another minute.  I trust your judgment! WHY HAVE REPLAY IF THEY MAKE THEMSELVES RIGHT ANY WAY ✅️.
