I have 3 ballots and would like 2 more.

Sorry about the Fan Pre-season Poll.

First poll I have missed in a few years.  I went ahead and add a ranking so I have something to work off of for next week.  I will have mine in for sure next week.  This should be the best thread for discussion how good each team and conference really are.

Ralph Turner

Glad to have you.

You are one of the more knowledgable Region 3 fans.

If McMurry is going to lose a close one to HSU, at least knock them down in the polls.

BSCpanthers

This weeks poll is going to be very interesting.  Doubt any of them will match.

6?  And Berry is a better team than UMHB.

Ralph Turner

I expected Berry to make the big jump if they beat CMU. I still cannot get them above the pack.

Were this a power rating or statistical analysis, the first 6 teams would be within the confidence intervals of my measurement.
... not much difference at this time.

For whatever it's worth, it seems like the #6 vote is the Born Power Index, so there is no one to yell at (haha) but that index was 1 correct selection away from winning the ASC/SCAC pick em last year and won the whole thing the year before.

HSC beats W&J by 7 at home; W&J crushes #18 Grove City on the road.

Result?

HSC ranked 23rd and W&J gets 2 total votes. Week 4 ATN bias?

I think that GCC lost its luster in the eyes of the voters and the W&J votes tell me that the TOP 25 voters could not  drop one of their teams to float W&J into a Top 25 slot. HSC floated into the Top 25 after the voters knocked out Berry and Grove City. Hey W&J got 2 votes.

40 teams showed up on ballots for which there are only 25 rankings. If an 8-2 W&J wins the Pres AC, then I think that there will be enough carnage among the teams receiving votes and the #21 - #25, for W&J to eke into the top 25.
