Rundell with 16 rec for 181 yds and 4 TD's in the first half. Drew's missed him deep on what would have been a 65yd walk in to end the half.

Bethel up 35-7 at the half - Rundell with his 4th td of the half and 181 yards. Carlton starting qb (Curtis) still out.

Happens when your team gets up by such a big margin, I wouldn't be worried too much about it. More than likely this wasn't against the first stringers and even if it was, their intensity drops when ahead by a wide margin and they play a prevent defense from giving up big plays (which IMO doesn't prevent much).

Rundell with his 5th receiving td 49-7 early in the 4th. Will be interesting to see if Rundell gets considered for offensive team of the week this time (obviously depending on stats for others this week). Hopefully quality of opponent won't be a factor since Carlton was supposed to be stiffer competition.

Quote from: sjujohnnie on Today at 03:04:07 PMTwo St Scholastica possessions in the second half - two touchdowns. Both wide open, waltz-in touchdown receptions. While it's fin to see us put up points, it's brutal to give up points! Especially to the likes of Scholastica! The way the defense is looking in the second half, I wouldn't be surprised if we give up more points.

Easy, tiger.  Up 49-0 at half, those scores were against 2nd/3rd/4th string guys who:
1) Are not getting nearly as many practice reps or are playing mostly scout defense.
2) Likely didn't watch any CSS film.
3) Haven't played a ton of SJU defensive schemes all season.

Tough to watch, sure, but it means very little.

A tradition unrivaled...
