Mr.Right

I like Rowan and TCNJ against Swarthmore and Muhlenberg who are struggling this year. However, I am going with Haverford and Camden to draw. I would say this is a MUST win for both teams and would look good in November

I like Endicott in this one, honestly. Williams is coming in hot after a huge win at RPI, but the Gulls have quietly put together a 10-1-1 record - their only loss coming at home to Tufts. I've watched them a couple of times this year, and they move the ball well and are relatively athletic. Couple that with playing on a turf that will likely be wet, and I think the Gulls could catch the visiting Ephs by surprise.

Some moving games today for teams.

Kean @ Montclair 7:00 pm
CNU @ St. Mary's 1:30 pm (CNU is 2-0-2 in conference)
Denison @ Wabash 4:00 pm
Messiah @ Lycoming 4:00 pm
DeSales @ Manhattanville 2:30 pm
Arcadia @ LVC 4:00 pm
Merchant Marines @ Stevens 7:00 pm
Scranton @ Dickinson 7:00 pm
Stockton @ Rowan 7:00 pm
William Paterson @ Rutgers-Newark 7:30 pm
Camden @ TCNJ

Looks like important games in the NJAC/South Atlantic region.

I'll take Gordon, Williams, Haverford, Amherst, WNEC (Draw) today.    Here's to hoping for a Dutch win and a Turkey loss or draw.

MSU will be too much for Kean.  Hope with the "upset" over Calvin.  St. Mary's to atleast DRAW vs CNU.  Mary Washington over Salisbury.  Rutgers-Camden over MSU.

UPSET SPECIAL:  JHU over F&M

My upset special for today's slate of games is Scranton over Dickinson on the road 3-2 in OT.

My upset special for the weekend slate is Buff. St. over Platts. St. 2-1 in 2OT.

Lots of great games this week/weekend!!!

Tuesday 10-20-2015:

Big matchup:

12pm Rutgers Newark v Stevens-----Both teams have maybe 1 or 2 solid wins on their resumes. I believe Stevens defeated Haverford but both teams NEED this game for Pool C consideration. RUN needs it more as they have 4 losses and 1 SOLID win on the resume. Stevens usually wins the Empire 8 but that is not a given this year. RUN needs this game to get onto the Bubble IMO

Mr.Right

OWU at DePauw----My Midwest friends can fill in the preview of this game but OWU cannot afford 2 more slip-ups

Mr.Right

Other big games:

Ohio Northern is 13-3-0 but they cannot have any more blemishes, especially against Heidleberg.

Bowdoin at Colby is a MUST for Bowdoin to get into the Nescac Play-offs to defend its title and to get a better seed in tournament.

Messiah and Lycoming need to keep winning, but Lycoming must go clean to even have a chance at getting on the bubble.

Mr.Right

#14 Eastern is a conundrum.. They have some good wins v Lycoming, Salisbury, Swarthmore and Misericordia but unfortunately those wins will not be as profound to the committee and I am guessing their league is a 1 bid league

Lycoming is top 10 in Massey Ratings at the moment (ahead of Etown), so I am confused at how they aren't on the right side of the bubble at the moment let alone trying to get on the bubble? Am I missing something? If Eastern loses the conference they will be a bubble team due to their poor SOS%, but as for Messiah and Lycoming, yes they both need to win, but Messiah is more on the bubble than Lycoming at this moment in time don't you agree? Also, thoughts on a surging Dickinson? Do you think they have any shot at a Pool C bid? They have Swat, Muhl, and F&M left. Say they win 2 lose 1 that puts them at 11-4-2 headed into playoffs...it's going to be tight!

Yes I agree with you on this one. Lycoming was the first game of the year so I am not sure if the committee considers anything along those lines but by the looks of the box score the game winning goal in overtime was Eastern's only shot on goal all game. Lycoming dominated the game from the looks of it and according to the recaps. Salisbury is a good win for sure as well. Swat and Misericordia I wouldn't consider good wins this year. Maybe in the past but both teams are right around .500 this year. Their league is without a doubt a 1 bid league. Kings might upset them again in conference playoffs and win the Freedom for the 3rd straight season! What a story that would be.

Mr.Right

Lycoming is the definition of a BUBBLE team...Messiah is nowhere near the bubble....I think both will need to win the league

I wouldn't say definition of a bubble team considering they are 11-1-2 (on the data sheet not sure how they have done since rankings were reported) and 2nd in their region with very high SOS and winning %. 1-1 vs ranked when that comes out next week. Hard to say that's a bubble team but Skidmore is good? I think you have it backwards.

Mr.Right

Next weeks rankings including the record v ranked and Lycoming's SOS will drop them in the regional rankings for sure....Also, I have a feeling Messiah will drop out of the regional rankings factoring in their Record v Ranked so Lycoming has played ZERO rankd teams because U of Rochester is not ranked either....They do play Oneonta and if they get a result there then I will be on board....Check Lycoming's spectacular record last year in 2014 and tell me how that turned out for them come Selection Sunday.....

If I remember correctly they didn't have the SOS last year that they have this year...they were 7th I believe last year in the region? Something like that 6th or 7th. Either way most people were not surprised to not see them get in. Were they deserving? Eh probably. If they got in would people have complained? Maybe some. But this year being #2 at the moment and with their winning % and SOS which is higher than Dickinson's btw I think they are on the right track. Messiah won't drop because there is no one else behind them to put ahead!!!!
